Good morning from South Carolina.
I have been lurking on both boards for a while now. I have grown to enjoy this one when I did not think it would be my choice.
I never got to see Journey with SP. The first time I saw the band was with SA in Spartanburg, SC. I was blown away.
Then, saw them in Greenville, SC Nov. 2005 and had a great time as well.
I have to admit that I was disappointed this past summer when I had tickets to Charlotte, NC and the lineup changed, but JSS rocked it and I was very impressed with his performance, especially since he had just joined the tour.
I imagine that it was both scary and exciting for JSS to step in and sad and heartbreaking for SA to leave.
When I mentioned to the hubby last night that the change had been pfficially announced, he said, I thought you were a Journey fan, not just a SA fan. And, he is right. It is the music that brought me to Journey, no certain person.
I will continue to support Journey and will also purchase SA's solo album to see if I like it as well. I have very diverse musical interests from classical, alternative, country to rock - most anything but rap.
I have seen nothing from JSS but pure class and would like to say CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am eagerly awaiting new music and a tour in 2008!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I have checked out some of Jeff's other work and I really like it.

I am not ashamed that I like this board, I am embarrassed that I didn't think I would.

Looking forward to seeing Journey in 2008!

We live an hour from Greenville, 1.5 hours from Columbia, and hour from Augusta GA, two hours from Charlotte, NC and three hours from Atlanta. Myrtle Beach is about four hours as is Charleston, Isle of Palms, etc. A perfect location to catch lots of concerts and convenient to several airports. Not much here in our town - Goodrich plant, Fuji plant (major layoffs recently), Guardian plant, Solutia plant, lots of restaurants & banks and a dried up mall. We go to Greenville & Anderson for major shopping.

I work at one of the premier CCRCs (Continuing Care Retirement Community) in the state as an Activity Director for the Assisted Living and Memory Support areas, hence my screen name, SC ADC (Activity Director Certified). Love my job and my family, so guess I will stay in this little town. :D

Hey Mark.

Thanks for the welcome. Didn't make the Columbia Show :( Very busy with school and work plus we went to Myrtle Beach in November to see INXS at the HOB. I really regret missing it, though because I have heard it was awesome.

I have family and friends in West Columbia and get down there a good bit for meetings and training for work. Haven't made it to the Colonial Center for anything yet, How is it for concerts?

Merry Christmas!

That was truly an amazing show. The acoustics in the Colonial Center are wonderful. Went and saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra there a couple of weeks ago as well. I would certainly recommend seeing them also.

Hey, I live in West Columbia right off 378 and I-26!!

Merry Christmas to you as well!! :)
