Time to retire the horse? The band is on their most successful tour in 20 years and even the other tours from the past few years were more successful than most other current day bands. They may not sell albums like they used to but the touring force is still there.

But seriously , I dont blame him! it usualy takes about 8 years for news to reach Nebraska. So he is refering to Perry being replaced by Augeri. He will be as excited as we are around 2015 when the local Gazzette announces the big news.

You're right...sort of. In the grand music scheme, you're right, nobody cares. Why would TV and radio announce it? They haven't been ACTIVE players to those outlets for years. However, Journey remains a viable touring act. More importantly, their fans HAVE embraced change in the past. Augeri was met with a lukewarm response, but nonetheless did allow the band to continue reaping decent profits. That "Journey" ran its course. Neal and Co. now realize that it's time to head into a new direction. A more modern sound with JSS. Of course the "core sound" will remain but they'll reinvent themselves. They have the players, and more importantly, the outlets (TV, live appearances, interviews, management backing, etc.) to do so. Augeri's vocal issues kept them under the radar for quite some time. That time has passed. The only thing that should be retired is your posting privileges. This "old horse" just got a new jockey, fucker!!!

I've noticed there's quite a few (3 in particular) that love to hear themselves "talk." Those will be the same ones to say when the next tour's over, "Damn, I wish I'd gone to a show."
