Shit...I never thought I'd say this publically...or privately, for that matter, but...I applaud CJ for keeping a thread open in the bitch forum over on BT. It's a thread where Jeff posted in earlier (I believe it is titled "Why band members don't post here", or something to that effect). There are actually a few people going back in forth in that thread, and I must admit that after reading it, I was STUNNED it was still open. I thought CJ must have fallen asleep at the switch or something, but big surprise...she actually chimed in. Perhaps this is a good sign for the future of Journey's "official" website! Imagine that...actually having open discussion, with people disagreeing, and not talking about how "Stevie Awesome" shakes his ass and the thread NOT being locked!!!!!! What a novel concept! Perhaps Andrew is beginning to give some lessons in moderating a forum :twisted:

Wouldn't it be cool if those of us who, like me, were banned for life for not towing the party line could join in the discussion now that we're into a new era? I know you weren't banned, but a lot of us were.

Actually, I was part of the whole war over Neal's post to Perrymissin' that caused a huge stir over there and at VH1. I'm ashamed now of being so cruel to Neal, but not ashamed of my reasons for taking a stand over that particular issue. Perry fans were unfairly persecuted on there at that time, but now I understand that Neal probably wasn't aware of all that led up to the outburst of frustration. It was more due to the other posters on that board(most of which are still there) than about the band itself.

Why the Hell give her props? Because she allows a thread to remain open? Fuck, why stop there? Give her the Goddamned Nobel prize or the Humanitarian of the Year award.

This woman, threatened me with lawsuits more times than Richard Simmons sucks cocks. During Tapegate, I was called a liar, a trouble stirrer, and full of (her favourite word), "innuendo." I had the Blog up, and her name was mentioned and she promptly asked me to remove it (which I did by the way). Then, come to find out, she was the one who was copying and pasting RIAA rules and Regs....yes, she (CJ), was "Ace." Figured it all out. Then, stupid Dean, tries to apologize and make ammends with BT, and she has the fucking gall to put conditions on my apology. I say "Fuck em." They owe ME an apology if anything. My differences with CJ are well documented over the years! I will never call CJ any names, as I don't know the woman personally. That said, I hold her 100% responsible for how poorly Journey's site is moderated. She is clearly the leader of the mods on that site, and they all follow her lead. For all I know, she may be a very nice human being, but her moderating skills leave a whole lot to be desired!

Also, for what it's worth, I thought the whole episode with conditions being put on your apology were beyond absurd! Anyone putting "conditions" on an apology, doesn't deserve to be apologized to, as far as I'm concerned! I've been BT's most ardent critic for MANY years and feel that site does an ATROCIOUS job at representing Journey and its fans! The fact that I'm impressed a thread that didn't involve people holding hands and singing "We Are The World", remained open, is once again a very sad commentary on our band's "official" website! I still hold out hope that someday Journey straightens that place out, for the benefit of its fanbase.

Gee Dean- All I did was write either cat or cj and she threatened to contact my carrier. So I called the phone company to relay the incident. I told them I didn't even use one bad word. He was laughing & told me they would not have cared no matter what I said and that someone sounded awful touchy. Neal needs to clean that place out SOON and restore the outlook of fans towards the bands website. I remember a yr or so ago when they went after Jeff. Well that ended pretty darn fast. What power trippers! Before long the mods will be moderating themselves as everyone files out.

Thats exactly why I never posted there....when I checked it out all I saw were prayer circles, wiggling, or people telling the mods how wonderful they are....anything with a real opinion seemed to get locked and/or deleted.......and don't even mention espee unless your in one thread.....and those posting there were being attacked without the mods stopping it. I'm all for JSS, but I don't get the full on espee hate...Perry along with the rest of the band are why we are all here to start with. It seems that the wigglers are the biggest espee haters.....maybe too defensive of their guy? It's refreshing that Jeff and Deen give props to Perry.....he did bring the music......now they want to honor that and do it right. Hopefully the wigglers will wiggle on somewhere else and everyone will get on board with Jeff now. He's proven that he can bring it!
