TO is over paid and will be traded,, romo is too busy with his new girlfriend , which he brought onto the field in practice!!! the cowboys are hit and miss,, jeff garcia and that front line of the defense played like a superbowl team,, but will most likely suck next week,, teams really show up to smack down the cowboys... heres a pic of the eagle in the cowboys cart driving steve augeri around,,

Owens is the highest paid decoy wr in the NFL Romo is so overhyped it's disgusting (Pro Bowl? After what 6 good weeks? ) and it's a treat.



Dallas is still a playoff team in a flawed conference, but Garcia is a winner, pure and simple (different animal than #5 SuperSizedExtraValueMeal).

I'll tell you what...TO is an overpaid loud mouth! That said, even for all his drops (and he's had plenty)...the most shocking stat I heard today is that he still has more touchdowns than ANY receiver in the entire NFL this season! I've been watching football my entire life, and this has to be the most quiet (not meant in the literal sense, with TO involved, of course!)season I've ever seen a guy, leading the league in TD's catches, ever have! For the record, the guy is still a complete JACKASS, and I'd NEVER take him on my team!

I think they tend to go to Owens a lot in the redzone a lot, as much to attempt to pacify him as because he's good.

But when the chips are down, mole chin for the most part looks for their #1, Terry Glenn.

I'm a Redskins fan (yeah I know) and even though we haven't had much to cheer for this year, I can definitely say it's always nice seeing the Cowboys go down in flames!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...you had me until the last sentance... The guy has NOT had an underachieving career. I know in Foxboro, only rings count but outside of dyasty land guys can have terrific years w/ out nec. winning it all.

PS I still think they force him the ball as much as throw to him out of schematics, just to try to maintain peace.

Gotta disagree on Glenn. He's closing in on 600 career catches, which is not exactly small potatoes. He's probably going to go over 1000 yards for the second straight year and 4th time in his career.

Sorry, but I stand by my comment. First and foremost, the 1000 yard mark in football (for a running back or receiver) is the most overhyped stat I've ever seen in my life!!!! The reality is that a 1000 yard season amounts to a very modest 62.5 yards per game! Nothing impressive about that for a first round pick, who was touted as the second coming of Jerry Rice, when he came out of Ohio State! There are presently (and still one game left!)16 receivers in the NFL with over 1000 yards, including Issac Bruce, who is 105 years old!

As I said in my previous post, 13, the numbers speak for themselves. Terry Glenn isn't on his way to Canton Ohio for enshrinement into the HOF when his playing days are over. I definitely do agree with your assertion that guys can have terriffic years, without winning a Super Bowl...Dan Marino made a career out of that!

The numbers on Glenn speak for themselves! The guy has been in the NFL now for 10 seasons and his best season in terms of catches was 90, and that happened his rookie season. He's never had over 80 catches since that point. Also, he has NEVER had more than 6 touchdowns in a single season and that is beyond mediocre. The last point I'll make about Glenn is that in 2002 when the Patriots won the Super Bowl, the team voted NOT to give Glenn a Super Bowl ring, because the guy was such a clown (he had numerous suspensions and always claimed to be injured!) and an UNDERACHIEVER! For the Patriots, who in my opinion, were the ultimate "TEAM" to vote against Glenn receiving a Super Bowl ring (even though he was on the team) speaks enormous volumes what these guys thought of Glenn, as a teammate. Anyone who comes out of Ohio State as a number one pick and puts up the career numbers he's managed to put up in 10 seasons really can't be called anything but an underachiever! Again, you don't have to like the label, but look at the numbers...They're quite clear!

You know it's bad when Parcells in NE, asked how Glenn was doing w/ an injury, replied "She's coming along."

after all this My Packers still have a shot at making the playoffs!! LOL..

They beat the bears...and if Giants and three other teams do something stupid---their in!!
BTW.. Packers Bears Sunday is on NBC flex schedule.. as it could be Favres last game---but, why retire now, he is having way to much fun playing again. I thought maybe 8-8 was a possibilty, but after being shut out a few times---kinda excited for this week!!
so New Years eve... I will be watching the Packers vs Bears!!

1000 yards in a season isn't overhyped. Sure, for the absolute superstars, it may be small potatoes, but it indicates that the individual has stayed healthy enough and productive enough to amass that number of yards. When you consider the multi-receiver sets that are being used in NFL offenses these days, it's still a good achievement to get to 1000 yards. If Glenn hadn't been injured in 2004, we would most likely be seeing his 3rd consecutive 1000 yard plus season. Besides that, with the exception of this year, he's easily cleared the 1000 yard barrier, so it's not like he's just made it each time.

Secondly, who cares if Glenn was touted as the second coming of Jerry Rice. There is no magic ticket for college stars in becoming all star pro players. There've been more good college players who flopped in the pros than not, so that's really a red herring.
