FRONTIERS IN ATLANTA TOMORROW (SATURDAY) ANDREWS UPSTAIRS

PostPosted: Sat Dec 30, 2006 7:38 am
by Jeremey
It's been my hope all year that the huge group that encompasses Journey fans can eventually come together and enjoy the music for what it is, as I think those (Ed, Dave, Joe, MSR, et al) who have started coming to our shows can attest to.

If you're in the Atlanta area, what better way to put this year behind you and relax with some live Journey music? We'll be at Andrews Upstairs in Buckhead tomorrow night. This is also the night of the Chik Fil A Bowl in Atlanta, with UofGa versus our own Va Tech, and we're anticipating about 700-800 people tomorrow. The show will be from 1030- 1 AM, and the club stays open until 3, so if you are in that vicinity, take a cab out to Buckhead and have a great time!!

I haven't sung in three fuckin weeks and I am ready to get up there tomorrow. See you all there!

Go to see Jeremey's band if you are in the Atlanta area tomorrow. ESPECIALLY you Perryheads. Closest thing to SP you'll hear in the year 2006. GREAT time! And on top of it, it is in the Buckhead area - major party!

OK, Ed..heres my report......FANTASTIC!!.....Frontiers rocked the house! Jeremey's voice was full on....hit those highs and held them! Amazing! Man, can he sing! The band sounded great...and Barry...you rock dude! Great shredding!........the crowd was kinda small....due to the game, I guess.... but more filed in by the second set.......Jeremy had the ladies grabbing at him towards the end and they all hopped on stage! haha!........The funniest moment of the night? ( and Jeremy knows I'm gonna tell on him here! ha!)......He did a twirl and fell on his ass!!....legs straight up in the air! ....took pics but unfortunitely, didn't get a shot of the fall! haha!!...too bad...you would have loved that one! Jeremey said it was only his 3rd fall on stage in 5 years.....so he's doing good! Highlight?.....Jeremey dedicated Edge Of The Blade to ME!....How cool is that?!!......Thanks, man!!

Greatest part of the night....getting to meet everyone!....I recognized Jeremey's wife, Sabrina...and went over and introduced myself......she knew who I was when I told her my screen name! haha!........What a sweet lady!! Super nice and friendly!...Your a lucky man to have found her, Jeremey!...but I think you know that. ..She started talking right off ....then invited me up to the dressing room to meet Jeremey when they took a break between sets. Great guy...very open and friendly also. I hung out with Sabrina and Barry's girlfriend the rest of the show.......great talking with you, Sabrina! ( keeping my fingers crossed....hope you hear some good news soon! )Another Journey fan came up and started talking too ( she reads here but doesn't post....I think some of you scare her! Maybe Deano? haha!! ....don't be afraid....their bark is worse then their bite! ha!) Then we all went back to the dressing room after the show.....it was so much fun to meet you all!!!.....great fun...super people....awesome band! If you haven't been....make it a priority to see Frontiers in 2007 ....go, go, go.......they will definitely provide you with your Journey music fix!!

I'll post a couple pics from the show when I return home this week!
Jeremey was talking about organizing a Journey Festival for 2007 while we wait for the band to tour again....Great Idea!!!.....Anyone that can help with this and get the ball rolling...please do! What a great time that will be,,,,,the diehard fans getting together for a day and celebrating Journey!!.....Lets make it happen!! :D 8)

( on a side note...I also met a lady who is Travis Tritts cousin....but more importantly....knows Steve Perry!! Nice to meet you too, Lisa!....She told me that Steve is very sweet and friendly!.....I shook her hand which has shaken the hand of Espee! haha!...probably the closiest I'll get to shaking his! )
