They should've killed that bastard in the hole they found him hiding in. There'll be a Sunni uprising now and more of our soldiers killed. Bush has gotten this country into a mess and doesn't have a clue how to get us out.

They should never have been there to push him into the hole. I agree with the rest of your post though. :)

saddam being a sunni , may get the last laugh because of what u speak above,,its all so sickening,, its gone from bad to the worst case scenario now.. although i heard a guy on the news today state that some sunnis were mad at saddam because he was captured and lost the war,... but still they want to finish it ,, and regain their power,, to do that , the shites and americans have to go ,, cant fix it , never could,,

With toppling of govt and killing its leader...did we just not win the military war????

call me crazy... but it should be a turning point in the war to help IRAQIS with closure and move forward.....

There will be celebrating by some, but not by the ones that are killing our people. They'll just be devising more ways to destroy us.

Well atleast there has been some JUSTICE, he was personally responsible for killing thousands and thousands of people. The estimate is something like 80,000+ The mass graves alone were so evil, he was a pure evil despot.
He is indirectly responsible for even more for starting the war with Iran, invading Kuwait...... He deserved to be put to death.

You're right -- because "those people" are Iran.

I was watching a TV program a few months ago where someone who had been taken hostage in Lebanon was telling their story. Their captors told them they were lucky that they weren't taken hostage by Iraqis because they probably would have been tortured and dead by that time. THAT'S the rep that Saddam Hussein and his regime had in the region.

They just said he killed 2 million, I was way off.....he was even worse. Like Deano said about someone else a while back..."he will not be coming down for breakfast in the morning." and that's a good thing.

Yes Saddam was a madman, but he wasn't the one who attacked this country. That lunatic is still out there. Of course Bin Laden my be captured  a few weeks before Nov '08.

yea, no fooling,, he actually told me a few more thousand , but i dont believe it ,, he told me 16k ,, ive never heard of that , but he drives a truck filled with raw gasoline out of afghanistan through the iraq borders... he has be shot once,, the terroists dont dare shoot the trailor , THEY want the gasoline,, so my employee gets regular pay , plus hazard, plus a bonus for signing up for so many years,, when he tells me all the horror stories he laughs and cuts up ,, all the times hes been shot at or almost hi-jacked,, then i realize , just how dangerous it all is ,, and his life is on the line every single moment,, hes not the same person that left a year and a half ago...different

Yeah, the Republicans could learn a big lesson from the Democrats in that respect.

What attacked our country was an extremist idea of which Sadaam and his followers subscribe. We were enforcing sanctions over Iraq for 12 years before this began. They violated those sanctions all during that time, they exported terrorism, they stole the oil-to-food program at the UN to export weapons in support of terrorist organizations=anything to poke at the United States. Today would be a great time  to get Bin Laden, but a few weeks before Nov. 08 will be fine too. Next.....

Well we are fortunate to be able to sit in our homes and invite intelligent debate, there is a word that is hurting our country right now and that word is "apathy."

What I'm hoping is "next" is this: Cheney resigns either due to health reasons or his flaming incompetence; Bush is impeached; and Nancy Pelosi is our next President.

How can you all be pleased at even one more death in that Godforsaken country? There is nothing but bad mojo surrounding any news coming out of there... We need to leave...

asshole
