Talisman or Soul Sirkus?

I have just enough $$ left from Christmas to buy one CD. I've narrowed it down to Talisman 7 or Soul Sirkus' World Play. I've heard one boot from each group but have never heard the studio CDs. Anyone recommend one or the other?
Obviously I'm going to purchase from the JSS store so maybe Jeff could point me in the right direction.
Anyway, thanks for any input you might have.

These are two GREAT albums. Are you sure your $$$ won't stretch to getting them both? If not then whichever you buy you will be pleased with.
In my opinion Worldplay is slower paced and the heavier of the two. 7 is full of great hooks and melodies and is almost a continuation of Jeff's Lost In Translation from a couple of years ago. Of course if you want the 'Journey' connection then Neal's playing on Worldplay might swing it.
Honestly, I would find it difficult to choose btween them.

Its an easy choice.... even though I like World Play, its nothing like '7'. just think of it this way,,, do you want a cd that was put together quickly (by very talented musicians indeed) in a short time or a cd from a band that's been around for 15 years!?:)
If you really wanna get the BEST , you should go for Talisman's 'CATS&DOGS" from 2003. Every single song on that cd is SOLID!

Even though I'm a huge Soto and Schon fan, World Play isn't exactly the best album you'd expect out of those two.
Talisman 7 is a veritable juggernaut of heavy melodic rock. A MUST own.

Anything and everything from Talisman is far and away superior to Soul SirkUS.

Well, sounds like so far 7 is the clear winner. I'm definitely leaning in that direction after reading these comments...

Depends on what type of music you're going for....but SS would far and away be my first choice.

Well, I went ahead and ordered Talisman 7. Thanks for the opinions. I wish I had enough cash right now for both, but I've got 2 little kids, and anytime I can buy ANYTHING for myself it's a good day.

Good choice, IMO. While World Play has some absolutely killer songs, I believe 7 is the better album top to bottom. If you ever are able to get a copy World Play you will enjoy it too, but 7 is the right choice if you have to choose.
