This guy kills me!!!! Look at his response to Yulog's post!!!! I love the fact that this guy doesn't take himself too seriously!!!!!! Here is a guy who actually makes his living and pays his bills through music, and still understands that in the grand scheme of things, it's still just the "toy department" of life, so you might as well have some fun with it!

Yea but I think Ol' Logjam explained himself pretty well; he wasn't poking at Jeff.

I just never bought the fact that the whole TapeGate debacle hurt Journey, at all, in the big picture! Sure...hardcore Journey fans were quite bothered by what transpired! That said, the average music fan from the 80's doesn't even know Journey still exists, let alone that they're on their second lead singer, since Perry departed! I've also heard the argument that somehow TG would be detrimental to Journey's cause, as far as the R&RHOF, and again, I just don't buy it. If Journey ever gets that honor, it won't have a single thing to do with anything that has happened, since Perry left the band! The honor would be granted, based upon the legacy that was created and cemented, long before the TG fiasco! My hunch is that the people who are involved with the R&RHOF have never even heard the name Steve Augeri!

You're absolutely right on the 'fan' aspect. My comment was more about damaging their image alittle bit within the 'music industry'. Thats all. But that has nothing to do with the HOF...
Journey will NEVER get in. NEVER.

Tapegate HELPED Journey in everyway imagineable. They are better now, ten fold, got rid of a fake rock star, and now have serious momentum on their side.

Tapegate will NOT hurt them regarding the RnRHOF. The Band will never admit to it, thus it never happened.

See all, everyone is happy.

This is an interesting subject. My theory is that if it took (just 1) real fan to bring down Augeri, why could it not be possible that 1 or several fans could cause a big enough stir about tapegate and possible sway votes in the hall of fame--

-John has a good point and i thought this too---they would only put them in for what perry did but we are talking about people making the decision and we all have been swayed in opinion by a rumor or truth that probably shouldn't have changed our position but did(I'm not saying i want this for journey i just think it could happen)

---if you would have told me a year ago that one angry fan was going to take Steve A out i would have laughed at you---but it essentially happened. There are some angry fanactic type fans over at BT and even here(plenty of lurkers) theres no telling what a couple of them could do. Oh and as far as the JSS Remark, i had it coming i've been busting on him for months and im sure i will still be doing it for months to come( but the post really didnt have anything to do with him at all ,my point was about the potential for angry fans to use tapegate to bring journey down and potentially sway votes)

Carl was correct it wasnt intended in anyway to trash--its a potential reality---hopefully it never happens
