SPH, sorry not sure what exactly you were saying here, so sorry if this is the same comment.
But I think they put that little qualifier on there because alot of people have asked for their money back on tickets, it happened at one of the concerts I went to, there was a large group of very angry folk. So....this protects them, sorry if that is what someone else has already tried to convey on this thread.
Yeah, that is pretty much what I was saying. You KNOW there is a huge fan base out there who has no clue Journey is still out there touring. So when they see "Journey" I'm sure there are those who would be questioning or who would be upset to find out after, that it wasn't Steve Perry.
I guess my mind went there because I was this type of fan prior to this year. I have LOVED Journey for many years, but when Steve Perry left, I basically played my CD's and continued to love them. It wasn't until this summer, when I decided to see them live, that I realized they were still a band, without Steve Perry. Maybe I just live in a box, I don't know, but I tend to think it's the publicity that's the problem.
Anyway, we were supposed to see Steve Augeri, it ended up to our surprise and delight to be Jeff Scott Soto instead. We saw 4 more concerts and the rest is history. Since then, I have spent time trying to convince the people I know, that if we can't have Steve Perry back, Jeff Scott Soto is an awesome front man. I did a pretty good job of spreading that word to some of the Def Lep fans at the concerts I attended this year and was happy to see so many die hard Def Leppard fans become instant Journey fans. Anyway, I went on and on here, just wanted you to get what my comment meant
