Tough one. I have favorite Journey songs (E5C4P3 and Little Girl), so I guess either of them.

The one that made my jaw drop the first time I heard it has to be Something to Hide, when he hits those high notes at the end. And the end of Mother, Father. Those four are my faves. :P

This should be kept to solo, for which I'll volunteer You Better Wait, though both Friends Of Mine and Can't Stop are pretty cool.

Solo? Has to be something off Street Talk... maybe She's Mine. Love the mood of that tune.

Yeah, I was BIG into that tune when it came out. Still love it. Didn't Neal Geraldo play the guitar on that?

God I detest Journey having to cover that song live....but anything w/ Giraldo can't be THAT bad. My man can blaze. 8) How 'bout it, NMT?

Faithfully, After The Fall and Why Can't This Night Go On Forever as far as ballads go. Mid tempo/rockers would be Mother Father, Separate Ways and Stone In Love.

With Journey....Happy To Give
Solo...
1.) Once In A Lifetime, Girl
2.) I Believe
3.) When Your In Love For The First Time ( like the tropical vibe with the steel drums)
4.) the little snippet of Let It Be Me ( Live, a cappella )
5.) This is out there, but....any recording , radio interview or tour, where Steve Perry is laughing......I love his laugh.....listening to people laugh always brings a smile! :D 8)

Man that's a tough one. I guess my all time favorite song that SP ever sang would be when he did a cover of Jailhouse Rock.

Just kidding.

ESCAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like most songs off of that album. But Escape is the best. NIG says so also.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
