Only once....1981, Escape tour, Los Angeles, Loverboy opening. Watched the show & thought 'someday I'll be singing with those guys'...Mike Reno ended up staying with the band so I figured I'd throw the guys a bone in Journey instead.....ha ha, kidding!

Good question Eric, it's funny I wondered the same thing. we were talking about that the other day. With all the mic drops from hand to hand Jeff does he never seems to drop it. Well, except for once on the Talisman dvd set -Worlds Best Kept Secret. I think it looks cool, unique part of his stage presence.

Thanks, Jeff! :) I was wondering if you were too young at the time they toured. I only saw them once also in 1979 Evolution tour & my thought during that was, "someday I'll run off with SP" -- I'm still waiting...hee-hee!

Ya know I always see signs & today it was a license plate with ##SSJ## & another one was 4USP###...(and another one with the female version of hubby's name & his last intial) -- I have such a full life! LOL!

JSS & Loverboy - he'd kill on those tunes as well! (Hummin' "Lovin' every minute of it...")

I liked Mike Reno's voice, but his voice has changed drastically over the years - very nasal. They were a fun band back in the day.

Coincidental thing I forgot to mention....the 1st demo I ever recorded was in a 4 track studio, a horrendous original called 'One Of These Days', Too Much Time On My Hands, Workin' For The Weekend & Open Arms! I was 14 at the time & got some free time at my manager from McDonald's studio, he was in a band & let me have at it with all the gear there. I recall playing all the guitars (lead included, ouch!) as well as keys, along with a bass player friend who was also my age & a half cocked drummer who certainly thought he was better than he was....quite painful to listen to now but funny to hear this aspiring kid thinking he had 'it' even back then!

....and NO, it will never be booted or uploaded here!! :) We'll save it for the JSS Box Set if there should ever be one...probably when I'm dead & gone!

Dead and gone? Ouch! Don't say that! We're almost the same age! I do like the sound of a JSS boxed set someday.

A JSS box set would be amazing! 8)

My hubby recently listened to some stuff he recorded in high school, he sang lead & played guitar, all original songs too, some good stuff there, but some of it I could see him wincing quite a bit  LOL!
