Why does the board always go up in flames when I'm not here? Do I have to monitor this thing 24x7?

It was a peaceful and productive forum; lively, congenial and a bounteous source of useful information. Then one day, completely without warning, Godzilla arose from the depths and blew his scalding breath on everything in his path. A phalanx of Warriors mobilized to attack the monster, only to be crushed like so many toy tanks under Godzilla's mighty feet. Godzilla soon reduced the forum to searing and consuming flames. Just as abruptly, he rumbled back beneath the waves, leaving all to tremble in fear of his return. Net life would never be the same. I was just pulling your leg... I missed all the activity then went scanning through everything--it all seemed a little, well, silly? Anyway, please don't let some of these guys goad you into spilling anything you might regret later, you know? I've even forgotten the one poster that was really goading you on--who that was.

I laughed out loud when I got to your post about blacks, widows, gays, Puerto Ricans, etc. I guess what I thought was so funny was you might have been in earnest about these thoughts? :)

P.S. I remember one time you responded to a post about something or other, and you said something about beaners, and I nearly fell over, Archie Bunker!! How could anybody be really mad at you?

And to think that I probably laughed even harder than you. I just hope that all involved realize that it was all in good fun. It did get a little out of hand and the unfortunate thing about it - was that it gave the detractors of this forum ammunition to once again begin hurling insults my way.

That is the most disappointing thing. But in the end, this forum remains a great place to be and it is nice to see a warm, friendly group of people participating.

Well, if anyone was browsing the JF today u had to notice that 10 paragraph post that basically bashed me and Deano..they said no personal attacks!!!! HA!! calling me names is certainly personal to me anyway....

bUT, NEVER MIND, I won't stoop to their level except to say you have the best people and the best forum on the internet and if and when Deano sees that, he will be on a tirade and rightly so....Those people over there only exist to chastise your forum and its members and they are lower than whale shit !

You know I feel your frustration, Carol. I've given up on trying to set the record straight. Some people don't even believe Augeri lipped, but rather it was a set up to get rid of him :lol: . I'm done at the anti JF. Maybe they will all start posting about something fresh rather than rehash all the same old shit.... and they are rewriting history as they see fit. Yesterday was my last visit and to keep my sanity I won't be back. Let them call me all the names they want. Let them decide what kind of woman I am- they'll be wrong. A) How much I suck.
B) How much Deano sucks.
C) How much JSS in Journey sucks.
D) How much Journey suck period.
E) All of the above.

Whatever way you look at it - it is now very much a them VS everyone else kind of affair - the very thing they set out to avoid.
