What does Foreigner do in that case, get Denny Carmasi back or call Dennis Elliot?

If this happens, I have to find a way to be there! My husband is a big Led Zepplin fan. I'm getting tickets if they come to Chicago!

Led Zep is without a doubt the MONSTER of ALL MONSTERS in classic rock history. IMO, no other band comes EVEN CLOSE to Led Zep now or ever will in the future. These guys played not for the money (though they made TONS of it), but for the untouchable creative process that they created with the connection they had between Plant-Page-Jones-Bonham. They were INSPIRATIONAL and words cannot begin to express just how great this band was. Great post!

In all that is the rumor still out there regarding Boston and REO tour???

With all that, I would say groups like Journey will be well served to stay out of the market this summer into fall.
Also, there was also a note this morning that the Eagles were finishing there first LP in almost 30 years...

Those rumors have been going around for years.
Plant bowed out of the Page/Plant project because it was getting to much like Zep again.
Though I would love to see it,I don't see them reforming.I hope I am wrong.
BTW,don't forget to add the Dio fronted Black Sabbath, (renamed Heaven and Hell, since the original Sab was inducted into the RRHF).
They will be performing Dio ONLY Sabbath tunes!!

Balderdash to coin a TNCism.
Both Page/Plant gigs were nothing but Zeppelin.
And there's nothing wrong with that. I still refuse to use the words "Page/Plant" and Walking Into Clarksdale was the best Zep since Physical Grafitti.
Ridiculous for Plant to say that considering all that was played was LZ.

Are you serious? I was wondering why your report mysteriously disappeared after I had emailed it to some of my friends...oh well. Not that it would be indicative of a new tour, but I saw Robert on his last tour (June ’04) in Philadelphia, and he seemed to have aged twenty years since the loud, rocking, totally cool Page/Plant tour I saw in ’98. I don’t see how it could happen. (I’d still pay to see it….:))

Agreed.Saw P&P on both the Unleded and Clarksdale tours, and it WAS Zep!!
Though I id think Clarksdales was a bit of a let down.
I literally had cold chills watching those 2 legends on stage.
The Black Crowes and Page was just as amazing.
Man am I glad I caught those tours.

Actually part of the resurrection of that rumor is the FACT that Robert Plant was getting the Honeydrippers back together, at least for a show or two as part of a couple of benefit shows. They had been thinking about doing some new music and maybe a whole album but then when Ahmet Ertegun of Atlantic Records died, they scraped it because he contributed so much to the first Honeydrippers album back in 1984 and Plant didn't want to do it without him.

Here is some info on the charity gig they are doing:

For the second time in less than two months, Robert Plant will resurrect his side project the Honeydrippers in the U.K. to raise money for a neighbor. The first gig was December 23rd in Worcestershire, and now Plant has booked the Honeydrippers at the club JBs in Dudley on Valentine's Day (February 14th), according to the British newspaper The Express & Star. Just like in December, proceeds from the show will go to help a friend named Jackie Jennings pay for a special type of brain cancer treatment that costs 100,000 pounds, or about $193,000.

Plant's 1984 album, called The Honeydrippers: Volume One, featured his Led Zeppelin partner Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and others. There's been no word yet on who might be on stage with him at the club next month.

The Honeydrippers album was reissued in November as part of the Plant box set called Nine Lives.

Not sure how many Zep/Plant fans are here, but I got the Plant boxed set for Christmas and it is probably one of the best box sets I have ever seen. The packaging, art work and the DVD are AMAZING!!The remastered CD"S all sound AWESOME!!The bonus tracks are pretty cool too!
I think Universal spent a fortune putting it all together
Being a lifelong Zep/Plant fan, I truly forgot how good his solo stuff is.I am actually rediscovering the merits of Percy's 1st solo album Pictures At Eleven.GOOD STUFF!!
I without a doubt recommend this package!!
