Akashic posts cover of Journey for download -

- It's available on the AKASHIC website a cover version for the Journey' song "Open Arms". Recently the band finished the recordings of a video clip and are going to an European tour.

Akashic is a brazilian progressive metal band formed by Rafael Gubert (vocals - Barros Project, The Supremacy), Marcos de Ros (guitars), Fábio Alves (bass), Maurício Meinert (drums) and Éder Bergozza (keyboards) and released their second and latest album, A Brand New Day, through Hellion Records.

The Journey's cover can be downloaded through the following link www.akashic.com.br/mp3/www.akashic.com. ... 20Arms.mp3

Samples of the album A Brand New Day are available on the band's MySpace page - www.myspace.com/akashicrock

Was never a fave song of mine from them.
I do like the little guitar lick just before
half way in the song.
Thanks Aussie Bossy!

Funny-ass stuff outa you.

Altough I detest ballads to the soles of my shoes I will admit, the band/Cain-Perry writing duo bore fruit here.

I've got a list of (power) ballads that I begrudginingly admit left an indelible mark on music and Open Arms is among the rest. So's Faithfully.
WYLAW got close but had too short a shelf life. KTYLM SHOULD be on the list but is not.

That list is potential thread fodder, too.
