It stormed like hell here in the panhandle yesterday. Started around 12:30 and didn't stop until about 9:00.

I live in Orlando. We got majorly lucky here! They got hit very hard in the surrounding counties! This happens once every 8-10 years when we get that El Nino weather pattern. Glad this weekend, and not next! Hope everyone else is okay :)

I'm from Central Florida (south of Orlando) and it was bad early this morning but has since cleared up and is now cloudy out.
No damage here.. we were lucky. Hope everyone else is ok.

I'm in Palm Bay, which is the next town south. No bad storms, just rain- thank goodness!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

The death toll is now 20 here in Florida.....folks just going about their business, sleeping in their beds.......from a random strike from natural causes. 102 dead in Bagdad last night.......folks just going about their business, shopping in a market on their way home from work.......from a random strike from the actions of one misguided soul........
......the force of nature and the force of man in conflict.......causing the innocent to perish....some things are senseless
...but sense can be brought to it when something is learned from it or something positive is gained.....be it bringing people together and bond to help and support one another....or to make us aware of the problems, cultural differences, misunderstanding, fear, resentment and the feelings of being wronged in another......forcing us to be aware and to consider their plight and to, hopefully, eventually, bring about change and resolution.
