Get on record now, will ya?
We are planning on going to war with Iran. You all for this? I would like to get a feel of your will, and your take on this.

Come on, I want to see if you back this new war. I guess Iraq was a scrimmage. The real game is with Iran.
I don't like our chances.

We can't allow Iran to have nukes, or allow them to sell them to terrorists.
Ground war - not needed now.
Heavy bombing campagn - yes, if necessary.
My 2 cents.

Exactly what army would we be sending to Iran? Certainly not the one that's stretched beyond thin with the Iraq "oh my god, they have nukes! Wait, no they don't" campaign.
Iran has been a problem from the beginning. I don't know enough to decide whether it's enough of a problem to justify major military action yet, but it is a problem that needs to be addressed. However, Iraq now prevents us from having enough military leverage to use in any possible negotiations or proposed solutions.

I agree, there are many problems that we have. Iran, North Korea, Iraq, now Venezuela is making noise. I think the U.S. needs to take a very unBush like approach. That being diplomacy. You can't just go to war with everyone that doesn't fit the mold.

Diplomacy. The people of Iran (I heard or read in the last month or so) are uneasy with Radkjdslkfjkdsf (their Prime Minister-I can't remember his name) and even some of the clerics have told him to tone it down.
I hope Patrick Fitzgerald takes Cheney out this week; we impeach Bush; and Nancy Pelosi becomes president. This administration is way too scary.

Why would you? You're a democrat. A Jimmy Carter pessimist. Review Clinton's record....all the bombings. He did NOTHING to anyone. Yet 9/11 was planned under Clinton's presidency...yet I do NOT blame him. These Muslim, Arab fucks hate us....the world needs to understand that. I really hope that Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Sean Penn are fortunate enough to meet up with the very same people that seem to love killing our troops. Maybe they can talk some sense into them.

Well, at least if that moron Bush went after Iran or North Korea, he'd at least have a legitimate reason for the attack. Unlike this Iraq debacle, where most of the country is still trying to figure out what the guy is doing. I think history is going to view this guy as bad as any president we've ever had. I always thought Carter was the worst president of my lifetime, until this guy came along!!!!

Maybe someone should try to figure out just why the Arabs hate us.....and don't tell me it's because of our "freedom". You can't fix a problem until you know what it is.
We can't keep starting wars because there are just too many Arab nations and we haven't won a war since WWII. Bush made a lot of noise but when it came down to actually accomplishing something.....we did nothing.
Diplomacy is the only way since we have proven, unfortunately to the whole world, that we cannot win militarily.

Where was all the objection to Iraq when it first happened? No where!! All these Monday morning quarterbacks like to bitch and moan now, but where were they then? All these 'fair weather' politicians make me sick!
Why do Arabs hate us? Cause we're not Arabs! We value our women, we worship a God of our own choosing, we don't believe that by committing terroristic murder that we will be rewarded in heaven with 10,000 virgins. We are friends with Israel. We believe that freedom is the right of EVERY individual.
It could be argued that by virtue of being in the middle east, we are forcing others to share our beliefs, and I can see that. Why is it okay that we go into places like Mogadishu (sorry, ? spelling) or Darfur to ease suffering, but it's not okay that we've done it in Iraq? No WMD??? Yeah, it's true, we didn't find them. But I can almost guarantee that if we hadn't gone to Iraq, and were attacked again, that Bush would've been blamed for allowing them to continue to defy the UN resolutions, possibly allowing them to harbor the terrorists. Some say that Iraq has created more terrorists. Maybe so, maybe not. I don't know.
I'm not a political scholar (unlike at least one person here), so I might not be making sense, but it just bugs me to hear all the political nit-picking going on. The bottom line is that we've got soldiers in harms way, and I would be really pissed to find out that someone like our Carlitto was harmed (or worse) by these terrorist lunatics because they were empowered by listening/watching us here at home criticizing the mission we're attempting.
I don't know what's gonna happen with Iran or North Korea. It scares the shit out of me though.
There's a whole lot more at stake here than any election.

If we're supposed to step in and attack anyone who has nukes in the region, why didnt we do this to Pakistan, India and Israel?
I think the Iraninan president is all talk, because he knows that right now Bush is not in a position to start another war.
Also for those of you who say the 9/11 was planned during Clintons time, WRONG,,, the plan has always been there ever since the Bush Sr was in the region in 90.
Starting another war in the region would add more to the tension there which will get the arab countries involved, and eventually lead to World War III. By the way, Arabs dont hate americans. Extremeist fundamentalist muslims do. Besides Iran is not part of the arab world.
What we need right now is get out of the mess we're in before we plan any other "world police actions" .
Saint John,,,, easy with the language buddy.... John is entitled to his opinions and he is usualy full of good ideas. Dont be childish!!!
And did you even understand the message all those celebs had? they were'nt putting down the troops,,, they were against the person that is responsible for putting our countries sons and daughters in danger. The day Bush sends one of his kids or family to the war is the day I belive he cares about our country!

I think that folks really need to look past the rhetoric of our politicians and listen to what our enemies are telling us. It's about radical Islam. It's the fact that that many parts of Europe are being overrun with radical Islamists who do not want to enjoy the freedoms of the West - they want to subvert those freedoms and impose harsh rules based on Sharia law.
Do we need go into Iran to be at war with them? No, Iran is fighting us in Iraq already via the insurgency. They are training, supplying and in some places fighting Americans in Iraq. Iran has been at war with us indirectly since 1979. They are in Syria, Lebennon and now the Gaza strip.
What is interesting that is not getting a lot of attention in the news is that Iran's econonmy is in shambles. 30% unemployement and like 50% inflation. The oil market is dropping like a rock, which is Irans sole export. There is speculation that Saudi Arabia (two-faced 'ally') is collapsing the oil market in order to bring Iran under control - if its true and it works, we may not have to do anything but sit and watch them collapse.
I think one thing I personally have learned about the middle east since we invaded Iraq - we buy into the fiery speeches about those countries abilities to deliver on their threats. Iraq - paper tiger that once had dangerous weapons but in order NOT to look weak bragged about its capabilities. I don't want to make the same mistake with Iran. I think they are working towards getting nuclear weapons - I just don't believe they are a close as they are telling everyone.
Its something we don't seem to get here in the States - its very important in the ME to not be embarrased or humiliated. They are really into their egos over there. Look at the portraits they put of their leaders (past and present) all over the place. Its like worship. They are a very ego driven bunch and humiliation in the face of their enemy is the last thing they will suffer.
9/11 changed everything, whether we accept it or not, but unfortunately for most Americans it's 9/10 again. Which is what our enemies count on - our short memory and attention span. They don't have the distractions of sports, music, business, etc. They are focused on making the world in their religion - Islam. There will be no Journey if Islam takes hold in the U.S. There will be no football games, no message boards, no rock concerts. Nothing.
Go after the politicians all you want - they are easy targets. Take a minute from talking music and visit some of the blogs that provide analysis outside the political world and what the MSM wants you to know.
God Bless our men and women serving in harms way.

I'm still still trying to figure out where these people think by killing others and their selves there are 41 virgins waiting for them in paradise. These people are crazy. My ideas of paradise would be love and peace among all.And some of the old crone politicians please they should be ashamed of their self. And the upcoming new ones aren't much better. They are playing with our sons and daughters lives here. Each one should have one of their own in the war or military. Some of these brave ones can hardly make it as it is. And Congress wants to always give their selves raises?Shame, that's what it is!

Its because of attitudes like these from uneducated people like yourself that we have so many problems in the world and there's so much hatres towards us. And dont brag about how you got a PHD (or GED),,,, Im talking about global education.. not just going through and finish school!
You just think we should go and nuke innocent people because of some idiot fundamentalists? Well why dont we start of throwing some of our own idiots off the plans in the mountains!?
Any and every country has their own lowlives and if killing them would solve all the worlds problems, I'd say go for it.
You should try to understand that because some idiots make an entire country look bad, this doesnt mean that the entrie country is against us.
Its one thing to have an opinion about something, but to just be plain stupid and irrogant, thats just wrong!

Woot! Way to catagorize entire nationalities as "muslim and arab fucks." It's no wonder the rest of the world hates us.
Clinton had his own international problems that he dealt with, some better than others. But he didn't launch a full-scale,
$350+ billion war under extremely questionable motives, and even worse planning. Saying "oh yeah, Clinton bombed people too" to justify Bush's actions is just foolishness.
I really hope that Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Sean Penn are fortunate enough to meet up with the very same people that seem to love killing our troops.
Me too. I'd love for them to meet Osama. Oh wait, we never found him, because we're too busy in Iraq, a place Bin Laden has nothing to do with.

Speakin of blowing countries off the map, isnt Israel trying to get Palestine out of the map? Its easy to miss some points when you look at things from one angle my friend
