ALCATRAZZ is BACK!

I am proud to announce I am playing guitar in the all new Alcatrazz featuring Graham Bonnet alongside my friends Glen Sobel (drums), Tim Luce (bass) and of course Graham singing! We will be heading to Japan at the end of May to do a co-headlining tour with ex Rainbow and Deep Purple vocalist extraordinaire Joe Lynn Turner.

Did you guys know that Yngwie played in Alcatrazz back in 82-83? Ironically with the same Graham Bonnet..... and then he went on to his own Rising Force with Jeff,,,, and now Jeff's guitar player goes to jam with Alcatrazz. And to top this off, The singer Joe Lynn Turner who is touring with Alcatrazz , is the same singer who replaced Jeff in Yngwie's band right after the Trilogy tour and he sang for Yngwie on "Odyssey" and "Trial By Fire : Live in Leningrad". Like Larry mentioned here before, it seems like anything and everything musicaly somehow finds its way to Mr Soto !

PS! 3 Great songs with Alcatrazz were sang by Jeff on the Yngwie Live 85 show. ( " Hiroshima monAmour " "Kree Nakoori" and "Jet 2 Jet")

I'm getting braver for the Yngwie stuff. (he brushed by me at NAMM. YIKES!!!! no I didn't take a pic--ImADork-remember?) I'm partial to Howie doing the Yngwie stuff for now.

my favorite part of the Gods dvd is from Howie's solo on. (STRANDED!! yes!) I always start it at Howie's solo, play it to the end and then start over-yes, I hear that part twice!! Howie is just awesome and I am looking forward to seeing him get out there more and more. (shameless plug over-resume post)

If you want one of Yngwies best and easy-2-listen-2 albums, I would highly recoomend Odyssey. The entire album is full of great songs!
Also there is a dvd out now with 2 of Yngwie's best shows ever, Yes one with Jeff.

and I asked Gary for some cds and dvds. lots. so, here's to successful selling nights tonight, tomorrow night and the rest of the week so I can start on Yngwie stuff. I can do it. I can do it.

AND Crazy, AND Mysterious. wow. Soul Divine. Stranded was blatantly absent but it will soon be recitfied. Neal was in the house but I didn't budge from my spot in front of Howie. except for the 2 wheel chair folks. share the love.
