Just came across this on Wikepedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_Quest

Look under the photo - it lists music by: Steve Smith

Is this an error or did he do the music? I've never seen the movie but I know that Journey has a song in it.

Wikepedia is chock full of errors.

Journey had Only the Young on it and a couple of Madonna tunes.

That CD rocked! It also had Red Ryder on there with "Lunatic Fringe," that was a good cut.

And don't forget Dio's
"Hungry For Heaven"

That could be the Reverend Dean's
Intro tune once he goes national with
a syndicated revival show TOTALLY
unlike ANYTHING we've ever seen before

I bought this movie on Laser Disc years ago, you guys associate it with your "hotness" in your teenage years and Daphne Zuniga and Linda F. in that flick

Great soundtrack. John Waite's 'Change' was a good song on it as well.

Vision Quest/ 'Only the Young'

It matches perfectly the tone of the film. If you haven't seen this, I recommend as one of the best "teen" flicks of the 80s, next to (in no particular order):

Sixteen Candles
Heathers
Breakfast Club
Better Off Dead
Revenge of the Nerds
Weird Science (Bill Paxton in this and Aliens.. career highlights, right 'RockinDeano?')
Real Genius
Say Anything

am I missing any?

The movies I listed were just a sample of
all the great flicks that came out in the 80s when I was a teenager.
The MAJORITY of them were "teen" movies while some
were just movies most 'teens' loved!

You gotta admit, they just don't make like this anymore!

I'd take most of these movies
over anything that's been released over the past10-15 years
any day of the week :)

"true dat"

or, if you wanna go 15th century, "There is truth in that."

"American Pie 1" comes close tho'. Maybe 'Harold n Kumar go to White Castle'.
But that's about it!!

"Robster craw, what the fuck is a 'robster craw'"
"He means "lobster claw', Bugger..."
