You really should be given a code at the concert or on your ticket to be able to write a review, anyone could write that stuff without even attending.

I read the review, jester, and all I can do is laugh at it ! This guy has no clue about Jeff. The last thing anyone can do is control Jeff with puppet strings ! And Jeff is far from a Perry clone !

I bet we will be seeing more positive reviews than negative ones in the future. :D

"frank..ly" i think that this dude wrote a great review!!! jeff sings the songs so close to perry that its ticking this closed minded fan off.. what a compliment!! first he dont sound enough like perry, then he sounds metal , then he....... haters cant make up their minds... as soon as journey, perrys, and augeris albums come out later this year, then the world of journey will be at peace,, it will be like the ending of Return of the Jedi...

Aw well, can't please all of 'em. There is a small vocal group that insists Journey is nothing other than a tribute band..... okay, whatever. Some people are simply not interested in Journey anymore. It is their loss. I have the utmost faith in the talents and ability of Jeff. Combine the writing gifts of Cain, Schon, Soto and I think we have a winner. So a few fans say buh-bye, who needs them? I'm glad Cj posted that review; it goes to show that for the one bad review there are several that follow by people that 'GET IT.' Journey is back in the game, like it or not. I hope the whiners find something better, more constructive to do with their time and money.

I just read the review. That was a little bit crazy. I have heard/read a lot of different "criticisms" of Jeff and being a clone was not one of them. How can he be TOO different and a CLONE at the same time??? It would be nice if these people would pick a story! 8)

I just read it too. How can anyone with any Journey credibility say Augeri didn't imitate Perry, but JSS does? This guy is obviously clueless.

Hey NIG, you gotta read this. He uses except for accept. That's enough to get him flamed by a biting one liner even without his idiocy regarding Journey.

Until they play something in concert that doesn't have Perry's sound embedded in it, then anyone picking up a mic in front of Journey is gonna get compared....be it Augeri, os Soto.
If any reviewer thinks Augeri wasn't trying his ass off to sound like Perry on those tunes (prior to tapegate, of course), then they still don't get why he was hired...and why he lost his voice trying to duplicate that sound.
They better come up with the goods and stop diggin' into the back catalog just to say they aren't playing the dirty dozen as much, or risk people saying Jeff was just hired as another attempt at a sound alike.
Jeff is a 1000% improvement over what they've had the last 8 years, no doubt. He gets that rating just because he is singing LIVE and you can actually hear the dude above the instruments. Now they need to quit the nostalgia act and show us if they've got the goods or not as collaborators. If Jeff continues this route with the back catalog from the early Perry years, he's gonna need "tapes", too.

LMAO Larry! A rare ROTJ reference. Seriously, though, which of those three (Journey, Perry, Augeri) do you actually think will have an album on the shelves anytime in 2007? I'm guessing none of them, but that's just me.
