I actually forgot the Grammys were on tonight. I guess that says a lot about how I feel about the music scene today. I'm watching a DVD of Allison Krauss and Union Station with my husband. I hate bluegrass, but I love this group.

They were good, the drummer is amazing.

I noticed they may have had some vocal "help" though.

I thought they sounded and looked great! Sting's voice was in fine form. Maybe the background vocals were "enhanced" but other than that it was a very good performance. Nice improvisation in the middle of the song. They always re-arrange the songs in ways that make them not sound stale.

Sting sounded amazing - he used heavy vocal effects, but I like that sound.

The guitarist was singing "Roxanne", the drummer wasn't, yet there were 2, maybe 3 part harmonies, one being Sting's voice. Meanwhile Sting was singing his lead lines.

I heard them being introduced, so in disgust I turned the TV off for a few minutes.

I don't know why the Police had to pick a song as tough to sing as Roxanne. Sting basically could not sing it. Most of it was an octave lower, melodies altered to the point of not being able to recognize the song. He could have picked tons of others. The song was totally butchered, but it was still great to see them again and they played and looked great.

You have got to be kidding me. That performance pretty much assured them of a sold out tour later this year. They sounded great and Very Live. Maybe some Vocal Tips, but who doesnt do that these days. (Cough Journey Cough) :D

Cant wait for the Tour....

Amazing performance. I can only hope there's a date somewhere close by. Watching that performance made me realize how much I miss that band. Their Greatest Hits never left my car tape deck from the ages of 16-18.

They used to use a keyboard player and two backing singers on the Synchronicity tour,Stewart and Andy are pretty awful singers so i would imagine when they tour backing singers will be needed. :D Ilast saw them 1981 Wembley Arena!

I am really excited for the tour after seeing them play the grammy's. I think they had backing vocals - who cares, Sting was singing. It rocked.

Just saw the performance. The band was great. Sting and the arrangement weren't that great if you ask me. They changed the 2nd part of the song so Sting wouldn't have to sing the higher parts. It was very cool to see them together though. Andy and Stuart looked really happy to be performing again, especially Stuart. Damn that mofo can play! I wish Sting would put away the whole solo deal and just be the Police's frontguy again. Still, really cool to see them together happy.
