I don't think the Wings will have too much trouble with the Preds in the playoffs. They got rid of the playoff boat anchor Shanahan. The NHL regular season means nothing. 8th seed has just as good a shot as anyone.

Detroit won't get a shot at Nashville. They will lose to Minnesota, Calgary or Anaheim before they even get to Nashville. Nashville is the best team in the NHL and just got better. It's going to take a team like a Gigeure led Ducks or Luongo led Vancouver to somehow stop Nashville.

PS- Playoff anchor Shanahan? I just lost all remaining respect for your sorry pathetic ass. He is a first ballot Hall of Famer you idiot. Your playoff anchor has been Hasek. Now here's an interesting rumor in the east coming out of Florida...

I think there are 2-4 teams that can vie for the Cup from the East right now but,
if a deal like that goes down, I don't see anyone beating Buffalo in the East.

As for my Pens, I hear Chicago may take serious offers for Cullimore and would
love to see the Pens pick him.
