It's good to hear that young people love the band too. I've got everything except Greatest Hits Live, Dream after Dream, and Red13

Aaron, my friend, you are a true fan!
I have (at one time or another ) had all of the classic albums on vinyl (even that abomination ROR)- I used to have DREAM AFTER DREAM on cassette...cheap ass Japanese thing magnitized after a few years..Gotta admit that I never owned the first three.
I'm slowly getting all the songs I really like on I tunes...downloaded CAPTURED BY THE MOMENT (from Steve's first solo album) last night. Forgot how much I love that tune!

BTW- I'd love to get my hands on some good boots...;) Especially some w. JSS...

I'm 19 right now. Greatest Hits was my first purchase, followed by these ones:

Greatest Hits- August 2005
Generations- September 2005
Departure, GH DVD- December 2005
Escape- March 2006
Frontiers, Evolution, Infinity- August 2006
Captured- September 2006
Trial by Fire- October 2006
Next- November 2006
Look into the Future, Journey, Houston DVD- December 2006

Still need to get ROR and Arrival, as well as the other live CDs, EPs, and the rarities.

X,

I still consider myself a true fan but I must admit that Hugo is my favorite artist. He still has the sound that gives me goosebumps when I listen and rocks really hard with Adam Holland on guitar. Journey is #2 though for sure. If you counted the cds from other related bands or from Journey's solo efforts (Perry, Schon, Cain, etc) my list would be a lot larger. These are all in cd format. If I included vinyl the number would increase to 67. I have Escape on vinyl and I have the Evolution gold record (vinyl) from Herbie's collection.:)

As far as boots go, Classicrocklady has a huge collection of boots along with others (Deano, AR, etc). I have several boots with JSS but all I have were on this board or on Guitars101. If you don't have those boots, I'm willing to post some on yousendit if you need them.

Best regards,

Aaron

I assume that includes original versions and then reissues/remasters as well then.

I will probably buy Infinity, Departure and Evolution at some point this year.
Hell, I think I'll try and get Infinity before the Glasgow gig because I want to see the difference between Perry's album version of Opened the Door as opposed to the JSS version should they play it.

The other 2 pre-Perry albums are rare in the UK and the cost quoted for them on Amazon etc is a bit prohibitive for a student like me

Yep, it includes some reissues but not all. Dude, if you don't have the first three with Perry, do yourself a favor and buy those. In my opinion, they are the BEST of all Journey records. Hell if you're struggling let me know and I'll buy them and throw them in the mail to you. Its the least I could for a dude from Scotland as that is where my family is from many generations ago.

Cheers,

Aaron

130+ related Journey cds
But sadly it could be a great deal less, My computer was in shop for around two weeks from a virus I picked up at 101. The virus eat thru at least 20 files (mainly Boston, Robert Plant, and a few other I had), before I got at least some control over it. I was locked out of my music, and most of my documents. Luckly I had coped all my pictures (over a 1,000) off the computer a few days before. Just got it back Wed (was using kids to occasionally check in), and put back together today. Will begin the long task of seeing what I still have, means checking every song in every file) Thankfully I had about 80 to 85% of my Journey put on cd.

Word of warning!!! I have always scanned my downloads before I open them. The file this was in Boston Nashville 04 sat on my computer over 3 months before I opened it. for some reason I did not scan it before opening. As soon as I did it shut down Norton, and the race was on to save what i could.

Dude, nice story. I was so embarrassed. I took my machine to Best Buy 4 years ago, and the guy is working on it right in front of tons of people. All of a sudden, chicks donning strap ons doing other chicks pops out of nowhere...then some gal was carpet munching while getting her backdoor rammed open and then slammed. I just left and said, "keep it." I was so embarrassed.

If I have a problem with my computer, I just call downstairs to get it fixed. I don't need to haul it to a store. :D

I'm 19 years old and heard Journey from when i was a baby in my crib when my mom used to play it at night before i fell asleep (so she told me).. But I didn't hear them since then til' i was on a camping trip about 2 years ago with my girlfriend and her family; we were on the way to go fishing in the truck and her dad put in the Greatest Hits CD, and i was like "OMG i know this stuff, who is it?" So when we got home i downloaded a bunch and found i loved them more than i thought i was going too.. Whenever i hear them in the car (which is an amazing place to listen to them) i think of that trip with my girlfriend.. :-) I Love Her.
She moved away to Texas for college though. :-(

Now I Own:

Infinity (Remastered)
Evolution (Remastered)
Departure (Remastered)
Escape (Remastered)
Frontiers (Remastered)
Raised On Radio (Remastered)
Trial By Fire (Remastered)
The Essential Journey (Remastered)

I think now that they have a better singer than Steve A* was, (in my opinion) i just might have to start buying more Journey again.. I still would like to get there first 3 Journey albums but i'm waiting just in case they have Remasters of them too.. I'll probably get them soon anyways.

I Also bought Steve Perry Solo:

Street Talk (Remastered)
For The Love Of Strange Medicine (Remastered)
Greatest Hits (Remastered)

Steve Perrys voice and song writing means so much to me.. I wish he'd come back with some more solo stuff. He's like a roll model to me..

Really cool to see so many young Journey fans... :) So not all hope is lost. 8)

On topic,I have everything Journey ever released, remastered or not, plus a ton of boots.
A friend from CA sent me the very first boot, then Sallee was the one who helped me kickstart my boots collection and from there I carried on on my own.

I don't think you can call yourself a Fan if you don't own the *illegals*. :P

Having that stuff on the computer these days is more or less normal, but seen in public with it, its priceless. Glad you decided to keep em !!

Oh yeah, back to topic.

I've got everything with Perry on it on CD except Dream after Dream. I have the video of that though. Captured through ROR on vinyl. Infinity on a worn out cassette. I had Departure and Evolution on cassette at one time, but they got worn out. I threw them away years ago and I never replaced them until the CDs came out. Arrival and Generations courtesy of Dean.
