Say a prayer this week for all of those we lost in that tragic fire in W. Warick RI 4 years ago this week. They were just MR fans out to enjoy a night of great music. It could have been any of us on this board.

I have scouted out the exits at small clubs ever since. I think about that a lot.

At our local music venue (Jaxx) they go through a exit announcement before the show starts. Kind of like a airplane safety drill.

Absolutely - I know people that were in that too. I live about 1 hr from where it happened.

True, never quite thought of it that way either.

I think about those unfortunate folks all the time.

Me too Ed, ever since then I'm so careful of where to be at all times in small venues.

I remember when NBC news reported on this horrible fire they had some video just prior to the fire and Brian Williams (I think) made a comment about this lovely waitress that appeared for a couple of seconds--she was as cute as a button--and he said he didn't know if she survived or not... Does anyone know who I'm talking about? If so, did she survive? Been wondering about her since then...

What a sad day that was. I think about it each time we go to a club, and check for the exits, too.
