I like the version. He said he'd always thought of it as duet and I think this was a great way to do it. Mica has a fabulous voice. She did another duet with him on his Anthology album and it is great. I hope it continues to do well.

Yep.

"Jonathan Cain's remake of the Journey song "Faithfully" rocketed to the #10 spot in mainstream AC radio, according to FMQB. The new version of Jonathan's song has been played at radio for only 5 weeks.

Spins for the song increased by 76 and was added to another 2 more radio stations.

"Faithfully" has also started making waves in Country radio. The song was added to 8 stations in Tennessee, Texas and South Carolina to name a few.

This version of his Diamond Award winning song is a stunning duet with rising country star Mica Roberts. Mica is currently on tour with country great Toby Keith and has performed with Faith Hill and Willie Nelson."

This says it all about radio to me, the song is going up the AC charts and I've never heard it b/c I don't tune in.

The original is my favorite song in the world. This version just sounds wrong, IMO. I even prefer Jonathan's solo version to this one. :(

If I heard this on the radio and had never heard it done by Perry, I might think it sounds good. As it is, this just doesn't sound right to me. The girl is a good singer, IMO Jon isn't, I've never liked his voice, but she carries him along in the song pretty well. To me this is no better than Lori Morgan's version from a few years ago or that kid's that sang it on Nashville Star a couple years ago. To me it sounds like just another cover of a song that's already been done so perfectly that it shouldn't be messed with.

I think that Cain does wonderful on it. What a thrill it must be for him to have this recogniton after so many years with Journey. It's kinda like an individual recognition for all his efforts and not under the heading of Journey.

Poigniant post, HOTS.
It is good for Caino to get the recognition outside Jrny for a change.
Sorta like Neal did a few years ago with Voice and the grammys. :)

Tempo is slowed down a bit... but, nicely slowed down. Great Duet. Could have been extended some. However, I fully enjoyed it! :D

Not a radio listener here either. If it makes it up the charts, well... we all know why...

Of ALL the different versions I've heard of this song, the absolute worse (to me) are the ones that Jon tries to sing on. His voice just doesn't do it for me.
