UK Tour Spoiler Thread!

Hey all!

Well tonight's the night the guys kick off the UK tour, so I thought it would be a good idea to create a "UK Tour Spoiler Thread"!

I myself are not gonna be seeing the band until they hit London on the 14th March (just two days after i see TOTO in Bristol!), but can't wait to hear what to expect from the set list this year!

To everyone who's attending, i hope you enjoy the gigs, i look forward to reading the reviews and to Jeff and the band...a huge warm welcome back to the UK! :D

Only 2 days to go for me :D

Hopefully someone will get the set-list, a review and maybe even some boots up from Sheffield and/or Newcastle before Saturday when I'll be off to the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow to see the guys raise the roof.

12 days still to go for me...Birmingham NIA March 13th... Very much looking forward to seeing Jeff with them for the 1st time. Wasn't sure at all bout JSS singing Journey stuff when i first heard those early boots, but having seen 4 boot dvds now, i am warming a fair bit more toward the guy. Final judgement shall be when i finally see and hear the band and Jeff in the flesh so to speak.

Have tons of fun and don't forget a full review of the London gig.
(Not to be mean , but you really need to start using "am" more often.)

I'll have to wait until the 14th too, Paul (just one day after I see America play the same venue - can't wait for that one as well) - and I've got high hopes for Journey this year.

I must admit that this show will be make or break for me. Last year's show was a total dog as far as I was concerned...

By the way, I'm taking my 21 year old half-brother to the show. He heard DSB on the OC/Laguna Beach last year and loved it. BUT...since my wife couldn't face seeing Journey again and I gave him her ticket...I've been trying to initiate him by sending him You Tube clips...

.... and he's just not 'getting it'.

So...do I take the ungrateful sod along to the concert anyway just in case he sees the light? Or do I flog his ticket to a deserving Journey fan?

Any advice welcome! :? :)

Don't worry, JSS will win him over.

Yes, NIG - that's what I'm hoping for. But I'm concerned about my brother's judgement. He told me that Steve Perry was "uncharismatic".

Has he seen the Houston DVD? If he didn't like that, then there is no winning him over.

Not yet, NIG.

So far he's seen the videos for Faithfully, Separate Ways, After The Fall, Be Good To Yourself and Oh Sherrie....I was going for the 'irony strategy' which has served me so well in the past as way to introduce fellow Brits to this 'obscure' and 'uncool' band....but it seems to have backfired!

Maybe it's an age thing? Fellow veterans from the 80s love all that cheesy stuff...but maybe from a 21 year old's perspective it all seems utterly lame.

Yeah, ...SP is very charismatic! At least, he loved DSB (they also had "Lights" in that Laguna Beach show)...anyway, take him to the show - ya never know. :)

i cant either , especially since jeff stated they were going to tune down to Eb.. this could sound great with a tad bit heavey attached,, some of the greatest rockin bands did this from van halen , stevie ray vaughn, kiss, jimi hendrix,,and even perrys last tour.. just to name a few,, i wonder what Soto will say about this further... he has been hitting all the notes so good,, i wonder what the half step down will do for him,,,, cant wait!!
