Revoke the invitation.
The band has shat on everyone including fans, media, labels and now the HOF for too long.

No shit. Revoke and extend it to Journey.
Then we can all fight and specualte over "who"
will be there and "who" will get to sing
Fuck it! I'll take anything to get that lazy-assed Perry
on a stage again. That would be the only reason I'd like to see Journey inducted.

You're a better man than me, H@kk.
I don't want him NEAR Journey again.
I just want a new solo album and hopefully at least a few shows at some point.

The HOF shames itself with some of the undeserving crap they induct into there.

Good point. HOF deserves the diss, but VH is becoming such a sad caricature of a rock band. They should just let Sam and Dave do their own thing and forget the rest of them.

Screw the VH soap opera. It is WAY PAST the time for the HOF to recognize Journey. They've been passing on Journey, a band that has sold 75 million albums for too long. IT IS TIME!!

Couldn't agree more. What a dysfunctional bunch of asses. I can't stand them anymore and hey, I even bought Van Halen III!
They've worn out their welcome and I'm so tired of the on again, off again crap. When they did the Mtv thing a few years ago and the fans went apeshit, that shoulda been a BIG CLUE to the band, but no, they stuck it to their fans then, and they're doing it again.
The hell with them.

If anything, the Brothers are making a mockery of themselves, making themselves, (and I dare say, the rest of the boys by association) look bad. Dave is a saint compared to Eddie & Alex. Near as I can tell, the only thing Mikey is out, is because he's bud's with Sam. So again, where's the REAL problem?

Just posted this in the VH forum, but I'll crosspost it here:
I love the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I've been there three times, and I think it's amazing how they preserve the memorabilia for the fans. As for the inductees, I've always been a bit skeptical of their picks. But I'm glad they are inducting VH. And if VH doesn't show up, they will not be the first.
Check this out:
http://www.thefilthandthefury.co.uk/ TOO FUNNY! The Rock Hall actually put this letter up in the tribute to the Sex Pistols, and the fans LOVED it. Too funny. The Sex Pistols WROTE IT to the museum in lieu of showing up for the ceremony. LOL

But whocares, Sammy and Mike were selling hot sauce and tequila!!
Don't YOU think that makes them not worthy of Van Halen???
(Joking, of course)
Eddie doesn't like Mike because he's selling hot sauce while Alex sits in front of
a computer screen all day and Eddie's writing music for porno.
Yo! Van Halens- what the hell are they supposed to do, wait for you two monkeys to
FINALLY want to go play a gig??
Ugh, so sick of those two.
For Dave to have the last laugh, Dave should get with Sammy and Mike, and get Steve Vai and a decent drummer and go out as Phan Haylen. If Eddie and Alex won't do it, get some players that will and leave their asses at home.

love the Cabo Wabo, not into hot sauce though. Think Mikey is a great personality.
Are they not worthy of Van Halen-dum? naw, you're probably right.

Yea, that is a big downer about Sammy's mom.
As for the HOF ceremony, you would think
that Eddie could
put down the fuckin' bottle for 5 minutes,
sober up and have a split second's worth of common decency:
"We owe it to the fans that got us
here to at least perform
together at this ceremony.
Would it really hurt to do that?"

Lol, this band kills me...Im a huge fan...I would say classic VH is my favorite band...but I have to laugh everyday at the goings on...I mean, from what I hear DLR is now the voice of reason
Anyhoo, its important to remember that for alot of us the old VH got us through some tough times when we were young...so they havent aged very gracefully....that doesnt take away the fact that in 1980 or 84 etc. they didnt completely blow you out of your $.35 and hour what am I doin with my life funk and bring the show to places that were barely big enough to fit the stage!
I remember looking at pictures in Circus mag or whatever and being awestruck at the pics of Cal Jam and then they would be in my town a month later.....
So, heres to the memories...and were all f*cked up these days so welcome to the club

Check Drew's main-page, Bullywinkle.
Looks like she passed away...
So how's life w/o Foppa???
You think Biron is
'the future'or
do you think he's a goner after the season?

He better be the future. Frank Nitty and Eschey have been Swiss Cheese this season.

I'd like to see Journey in the HOF as bad as anyone, but I don't want them in as a default. They deserve a full nomination and induction.

You know, I could see Eddie and Alex sitting home, reading Drew's report on MR.com that Sammy and MA will definitely be at the HOF induction, spitting out their loon wine and cigarettes, and screaming "NO WAY ARE THEY REPRESENTING VAN HALEN AT THE HALL OF FAME!"
I think Sammy and MA forced their hand by confirming their appearance. What do you think?

So now they're all going to be there, huh? Well, all I can say is that there's still 9 days until the ceremony. Anything can happen between now and then.

If they do all show up, I hope their tables are far apart from eachother.
I can see that happening, NIG, exactly as you put it.

Yep. AAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Dave's fault, too. The BALLS on him saying that it was great to stand on stage as a band for the first time in 11 years.
