I didn't write it. I literally copied and pasted it from Back Talk on Journey's site. I am not that new to this message board to not know that I can freely curse.

LOL!!

Its actually called 'God Save The Queen' and is our National Anthem - famous English shong my arse.

I've only heard it done like this by two artistes - Neal & Brian May (famously atop Buckingham Palace with his own arrangement) and both sent a shiver down the spine.

Actually, last night's guitar solo was Jerusalem, and it was simply awesome. They are certainly mixing things up on this tour. Sheffield was a great show but last night in Newcastle was simply off the scale.

I may be a novice in terms of Journey concerts - last night was about my 18th, but I cannot remember a better one. Apart from misreading a few words to Faith in the Heartland (so new to the setlist Jeff obviously hadn't learned them yet was was reading them from the stage) this was just about a perfect show.

And how often do you see an extended drum solo from Deen? Wow!

Thanks Marty - Jerusalem ought to be the English Anthem. GSTQ is the British National Anthem. Tonight's will be very interesting - 'Scotland the Brave' or 'Flower of Scotland'?

We almost came to Newcastle but I have a very sore throat and didn't want to 'pass it on' - wouldn't be thanked. See you in Manchester on Tuesday.

For two pins we might make Glasgae, but the finance manager is asleep and I dare not wake her right now (and United are on the box at midday!)

Great set list, I`ll be off to see them on the 13th at the NIA.

After The Fall is one of my favourite songs, so I`ll be hoping they keep that one in for that night.

Great list but what the 'Fuck' (For Deano) has happened to Message Of Love'?? I was sooo lookin forward to hearing that at the NIA. Really hope they do it there.
Suprise additions like After the Fall will really please me immensly. Never been keen on Faith In The Heartland so hope they drop that one for Birmingham.

Just to whet your appetite a little more, here are my pics from last night's show in Newcastle. It really was a stunning performance by the whole band.

http://www.martymoffatt.com/journey2007newcastle

There are 74 images in this slideshow, so it will take a minute or two to run through, but some of the later pics are nice (I think so anyway).

I'll try to get the Sheffield pics (from March 1st) online tomorrow. I'm running a little behind due to a nightmare 9 hour drive home from Newcastle.

Marty, you get an A++ on the pictures. Excellent work. Looks like a fun time was had. Journey looks like they were having a great time too.

Fabulous pics Marty - best I've seen of any posted here, and I was there! I saw what was obviously you down in the front row centre taking pics (I was 6 rows back). I'm really frustrated because I'm in one of the crowd shots, my arms in the air have come out great, the hair's looking pretty good too. Only problem is that some sod has his arm right in front of my face :D Captured for posterity at a Journey gig and some bastard has to go and ruin it for me by applauding :(

My comments on the gig are on the main noticeboard BTW.

Wow! Phenomenal photos there Marty! Was nice meeting you by the way!

It was a great night, from a non-Journey fan (un oh, gonna get lynched now! lol) I really really enjoyed it! JSS is a fantastic performer, it was the first time I'd seen him and I was impressed to say the least!

Lol! Perhaps it will - I kinda thought it'd be a case of I'd love them live, but not on CD. Sorry but SP is just too smooth and sweet for me, I like my singers with a bit of grit!! 8)

:) Thank you, very nice of you.

I do check in here every now and then but never really have anything to post about! I go in the JSS board and the Bon Jovi board more often.
