I've been watching, or I should say I'm listening to, a DVD of a tribute to Ralph Stanley(bluegrass) with my husband. Patty Loveless was one of the guests. As part of her tribute she said that Ralph Stanley was to bluegrass what "Elvis, the Beatles, and Journey" were to rock and roll.

Not a lot of people here may know it, but Ralph Stanley and Patty Loveless are both really big in their genres. I think it's kind of cool that she, who's been in the music industry for years, ranks Journey in the same class as Elvis and the Beatles.

I think Patty Loveless is great. Saw her many times live....very good singer/entertainer.

She's good at what she does Dean, but there's just a little too much twang in her voice for me.
