What a fantastic movie.... How people can be taken in by him, is beyond me really..... I do think that Americans are quite gullible over that kind of stuff...well, thats the opinion we have of them over here in the UK..rightly or wrongly?? :D

4.50 gets us into the early show at the theater. when i first moved here
from san ramon, some people called it the "show house". yes, sometimes i'm surrounded by "DELIVERANCE."

One of the best lines in the movie was when he described the anus as hanging open like the "mouth of tired dog."

They shot that whole rodeo sequence here in my town (Roanoke/Salem) - The local news coverage is an extra on the DVD. We were watching the news when they broke the story about it, and I pointed at the TV and said to my wife "Holy shit, that's Ali G!"

LOVED Borat. First time I saw it I laughed so hard I had to keep pausing the movie to finish laughing, wipe my tears and wait for my heart to calm down....God,that guy nearly killed me!

I dunno, maybe Americans don't really get ALL the subtlety of this movie...But Europeans do,especially Eastern Europeans...!
The director is a genius.Controversial and rude, but genius nonetheless.

McNeil: LOL! "Hired it"??? You sounded like Borat!

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

In the US, we rent movies, rent apartments, rent houses, rent cars, rent storage buildings, rent tools like tile saws. We rent rent rent. What do you Euros hire?
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
