This Augeri boot....

Postby YoungJRNYfan » Sat Mar 17, 2007 3:14 pm

I just found this on youtube. It's Augeri in Tampa Florida in '05 singing Stone in Love. There's something about it that sounds IDENTICAL to the 2001 DVD. I dont know, maybe I hear things. What yah think..

You've just gotta love Azoff management. A singer who isn't singing and a "Lite Brite" background. Augeri has the microphone glued to his lips like a sissy would a dick. And Neal wonders why Perry keeps "living in the past." My guess is because some things are better left alone at a certain point. I respect Perry's decision to stop and I also respect Schon's decision to continue. In the end though, Neal loses credibility because he played beside a singer who wasn't singing. Here's a LIVE singer:

Yeah, if you watch Augeri sing in the 2001 DVD, when he strains to hit the high notes, he moves his mouth away from the mic. Not on this video. Like Saint John said, glued to his puss. That one is definitely lipped.

Yep, he said what he should have said. It's still lipped.

Yes sir. He was what 46 or 47 there? Still sounded great. Especially great for that age.

wouldnt it have been fun if neal would have said " ..sigh.. i dont have the singer in my monitor, but our sound guy would know , ive heard about this rumor before, but i never thought to ask my sound guy.. heres his cell number , give him a call, i would love to know myself!.." maybe not.. 8)

Well it was evident that the band as a whole were under a lot of pressure during those days, there was no apparent fun being had by them while on stage. I wouldn't want to have been a part of that band at the time. You could probably cut the tension with a knife.

This is way off topic, but I'm curious who this guy is... I clicked on the title thinking it was Stevie but it's somebody else. Maybe somebody knows? Seems like Faithfully must be a really hard song to sing correctly. (I wouldn't know, I've been mangling it for years and I still love it. :) )

Anyway, here is the link:

P.S. **Sigh** I bet nobody responds to this post.

The musicianship was excellent. The vocals were ok. The guitar player has the same kind of guitar that Neal plays. I believe it is a PRS.

Now see, I thought the exact opposite: the vocals excellent and the musicianship okay. I read the 2nd page of the comments and they are a wedding band in New York. Anyway, Shoot, thanks for replying!

Okay, I'm really going to embarrass myself, but what is a "deep hunsicker?" Is it musical?

Jeremey Hunsicker is the lead vocalist in a Journey tribute band called Frontiers.

Here they are doing Escape.

I've become so accustomed to negative comments that I skipped over them in my mind--had to go back and reread to see what you meant. Anyway, that band really loves Journey!!

Damn I thought sure that was a PRS in that video. I'm so out of touch anymore.

Well, now I don't need the red-faced emoticon; I can feel the heat coming off of my face without it! I know who Jeremey is--I didn't know he was a "hunsicker!" This is why I don't post that often.

P.S. What is a "PRS?" Or, I should say, what does PRS stand for since I presume it's a guitar?

Yeah, it's Paul Reed Smith. A very high end guitar maker. Here's a picture.
