OT----Drew, Nice interview with Blades...

Postby lights1961 » Wed Mar 28, 2007 1:44 am

Loved it! Like that they always want to TRY to do a STYX/Night Ranger, Nugent and Damn Yankees package tour... My guess is that Ted is the issue in this one about not making it happen. He seems to have other things going on all the time.

Cant wait til my Shaw/Blades concert in Des Moines coming up in a week and a half!! Some STYX/Night Ranger and Damn Yankees as well as songs from influence? so cool!!

Lights, please let us know how the concert is! Shaw/Blades won't be close to Florida so unfortunately, I will not be able to see them perform.

Anyone know the specifics on the 'inter-band' troubles that Andrew/Jack refered to?

yep full report afterwords... I am not big on meeting band members and such, but would love to get TOMMY to sign and I am not proud to say this, my Girls With Guns LP. Maybe Jack Blades to sign his solo cd.

That would be awesome.

That was a good interview. I don't really know much about Blades, except that he co-wrote some Journey songs, right? Was it on Arrival? He seems like a very likeable guy.
Anyway, a few weeks ago I had VH1 on & saw him & Tommy singing...I was impressed. They are singing some of my fave songs, "Summer Breeze" and "I am a Rock"...noticed they are playing nearby next month - wish I had someone to go with. Anyone here gonna see them in So Cal?

"I hope you enjoyed the always vivacious and charismatic Jack Blades in conversation – my fifth formal feature interview with him and always a pleasure."

I wish the Shaw/Blades show was coming somewhere near to me. I'd love to see it.
