Steve Augeri: In The Moment
Former Journey frontman Steve Augeri sets his sights on "In The Moment" a collection of personally crafted material. Steve mentioned several times in '05 and in the beginning of '06 that he had been working on writing this material on and off as Journey was on tour. With his tenure with Journey now complete, he can set his sights higher and show his true fans what he can do on his own. Look for "In The Moment" to be released this summer.
Maybe he'll have his fansite up and running if he can read feedback like this.

in his future endeavors and look forward to hearing his first ever solo album entitled "In The Moment"
which will be released in 2007. This is hardly the end of the line but a new beginning for Steve as he is
finally out of the shadows of controversy that have surrounded "Journey."
1) Who will remember him as an amazing singer? He was never on the radio, never had a hit, and sang Perry-era Journey covers at concerts.
2) He wasn't a torchbearer. When he left, they were essentially in the same spot they were when he arrived....arguably in a worse spot. They pretty much "ran in place" for 8 years.
3) "Nice guys" don't lip sync.....ever.
4) Who is the "we" that wishes Steve Augeri "all the best?"
5) This IS "the end of the line."

I know Augeri had quite a following on the internet and those people will remember him as amazing, but hardly anyone else even knows his name. That's why I asked what this Shipwreck Studios is?
I only heard Augeri once, and that was enough. It was in his presumably "good" years too. I'm a Perry fan though, so I was biased. However, I do think he was in a tough spot. Still, if he couldnt hold his own, then he should have quit.saint John wrote:Catherine wrote:for the record (and Andrew) I honestly wasnt trying to start shit altough there are those here that will take this and make it that way. I found plenty wrong with it. Just look at the post above yours.

Since when do you care about Augeri? You were one of his main detractors!

It was Perry all over again, for different reasons but still, without any actual knowledge of anyone knowing all the facts, but willing to cast aside many years of hard work from the artists. I have never denied that he helped keep Journey on tour.
