Since it’s so slow in here, here’s a good laugh
These are "Spirk" videos. Which are tongue-in-cheek homages to the gayish relationship between Spock and Kirk. Funny stuff. Someone has WAY too much time on their hands, though, lol.
This one is strangely touching, lol

if there's anything "gayer" than Star Trek, it's a Gay Spock & Kirk.
That show totally sucked, except for the idea that it pushed technologies to a point that they actually became realities in some cases.

I've always loved trek, and esp Spock. No good explanation as to why, lol. There were definitely more cheesy things about the show than good, but that's a bit of its charm. I couldn’t get into any of the spin offs, though - too preachy and dull. And I don't get the trekkie convention thing in the least. But I do love watching these videos.

it never made sense to me, why my Aunt would always give me Star Trek t-shirts for my birthday. She knew I didn't like the show. I ahve a feeling, her husband was trying to turn people into geeks even back then.
I have nothing against Trekkies, mind you. But they need to know that there's more to life than dressing up in space costumes and putting on pointy ears and big foreheads, if they want to get laid.

So, as a trekkie, how'd
you like the Nine Inch Nails video?
It's rough, but it's so well done, lol. a lot of effort put into that one.

I hate it.
I didn't like any of the spin offs either. The only reason I watched the Generations movie is because Picard needed Kirk's help. Well, and because I had to see how they handled the crash of the Enterprise. That was awesome.

I have always loved Star Trek, all 5 shows, movies, etc. I have been to many conventions, although I never dressed up in a costume to go. You're right, though - there are definitely some wackos who show up at those things who should never be allowed to leave their homes.
I have met both Kirk and Spock (William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy) in person and they couldn't be nicer, cooler people. William Shatner was the closest I've ever been to being nervous meeting a famous person. I mean, come ON! It's William Shatner, for crying out loud!
