I'm the one that said this board is fucked without AR and a few others, and I stand by that. Andrew's site will be fine , but THIS board will be filled with nothing more than fawners, most of which don't even go to shows or support the band. Hell, the hardcore Perry faction is still living in 86. Anyway, imagine Jeff's wife hopping on this site and reading all of the sexual innuendos pertaining to her husband. The posting of pictures is fine, but when the conversation starts to deviate from the music and turns into sexual fantasy, THAT is beyond sick and worse than any dead animal posted. These "pecker-checkers" are the ones that need to go, not Ed. Most post pictures and remember an era from the past, but there are a few that throw up vile pictures that mainly focus on the fact that you can see the outline of the posted person's penis. That is disturbing, and shows a lack of common decency.

I'm not sure how you think I put myself on a pedestal (notice the proper spelling), but you're certainly entitled to your opinion...even if I think it's stupid. As for the bandwidth problems, I'd have to say posting picture after picture of the same people is a bit ridiculous and only exacerbates the problem. I love this board and try to contribute to it. Yes, at times I'm an ass and will always openly admit that. However, after almost 2,000 posts I've only posted ONE picture and that was to shut TVL the fuck up. I'll continue to support the band and contribute to this board as I see fit. I've taken into consideration your words and will try to be a better poster. Hopefully, we'll see eye to eye. Lastly, Ed's punishment should be re-examined closely as I think it was a kneejerk reaction to a problem that has been festering for some time. This board without Ed is worse off, not better off. He's contributed SO much. Let him cool off and consider letting him come back tomorrow. Thanks for your time. Dan

Thanks Carol. Coming from you, that means a lot. I'm just pissed that Ed is going to be gone for a week. Yeah, he did blow up today and I didn't know about the pictures he posted and can't see them because now they're gone. Anyway, a one day "holiday" seems a bit more in order than a week. I'd say half of the most active, truly good posters have been to his house or are meeting up in Virginia because of the initial get together he had. That HAS to count for something.

This thread was started because T-bone locked and stickied his very insightful post. SJ thought he would get around the fact that it was locked by posting this thread. However, this thread also allows those of us who agree whole heartedly with T-bone to express that.

Out Of Line is Out Of Line... no matter WHO the poster is. Andrew sat by long enough and finally had enough. Take the posters name out of the equasion, because it makes no difference. I've always said that people wil ALWAYS listen more when the delivery is better. I have no problems with AR and have always regarded him as a fountain of knowledge here, but he went over the line, and some of the lemmings followed. If he and Andrew work something out, that's between them. Posting and prodding in his defense isn't going to do anyone any good. Let them work it out. I posted what I posted because I'm not going to sit by in the shadows anymore and allow people to run amuck, especially on Andrew. They need to realize that it's a Privilege to be here, not a right.

The dead people pics. were sad and gross, but the mutilated animals made me very very sad. Mainly because sick people loaded them onto the internet in the first place where others can seek them out-why? poor babies.

I appreciate the people who agree with what I posted, but I never posted what I did for kudos. I posted it because it needed to be said. SJ, I like Andrew and I like Ed. I think they're both great. (You, on the other hand, are getting a spanking....)

But...Your comment above kinda shoots down Ed's assertion that the "Loons" ruin Journey credibility. After all, the Loon thread was but one of a shitload of threads on the Journey forum, therefore a few "loons" certainly can't be responsible for affecting that much of the Journey fanbase.

As a self-professed 'loon', who participated in that thread, I feel I must participate in this discussion. That said, I think this whole thing has been blown WAY out of proportion, and made bigger than it has to be. And anyone not directly involved in this situation should stay out of it and let Ed and Andrew take care of business. I hate what has happened here today, for both of them.

Go back and read a little... I mentioned NO NAMES. You outed yourself. I locked MY thread because some people here would take that opportunity to start another shitfest. No "last words" were needed... from anyone. It's just for people to read, sit back and think a little about things. You obviously are one who cannot let things sit and cool, because you had to go start a thread and continue on.
