I think somebody in this place better get some NEW info on what the band is doing right now. (I don't care if they are home smacking the apple headed monster) Some news is better than no news and it will help keep everyone here focused as opposed to laying waste to each other and this site.

No Doubt! But actually I'm just trying to start a conversation cause it seems as though everyone is walking on eggshells right now trying not to incur the wrath of an already enraged wombat.

That would help. However, we all need to be a bit nicer to each other, myself included. Bringing back AR tomorrow would be a great way to kick off the healing process. At the very least it would satisfy those of us who are behind Ed 100%. And there are a bunch of us. After all, Ed is a first time offender and contrary to what T-Bone thinks, Andrew has ALWAYS taken into account who the specific poster is, and Ed is one of the best.

Hopefully, Ed and Drew have reached some common ground. That is more important than anything.

Can't really comment on it since I still have absolutely NO clue what the fuck happened. And to be quite honest, I don't think I want to.

Well, the loon thread, as nauseating as it was, really got gross. The pictures went from harmless to a few specific images where you could see the "package." Ed, like a lot of us, had enough and snapped. I guess he started posting dead animals and mutilated people. I didn't see them, but in reality find it far less disturbing than the "package" images. At any rate, his frustration boiled over and Andrew booted him for a week.

Thanks for the recap. Kind of saw it coming last night before I logged off, but had no idea it got so far gone.

If Ed was frustrated then he needed to leave the thread because it wasn't for him, it was just some girls having some fun. The last few pages of it might have gotten sillier and sillier, but there have been many a night on MR when some boyz have been drinking and posting some nonsense and you didn't see an all out war break out between the ladies and the gents. Andrew is right on this, sorry to have to disagree with you but I do.

I respect your opinion. However, I'd change "sillier and sillier" to "more and more disturbing." The conversation seemed to point to obsession on a few people's parts. That, coupled with the pictures posted ONLY because you could see the outline of a "crank" is the reason Ed snapped I suspect. THAT too, has nothing to do with Journey. We agree to disagree I guess.

Waiting on Journey news isn't high on my list of priorities and if there's no news it neither creates or makes me feel bored. There's more to what went down with AR over the past couple of days............way back last year we all joked about hippos and all that shit and certain individuals haven't let it drop......AR was well out of order with the pictures but I bet he knows that, sometimes posts just run along at 200 mph and before you know it, it all starts to make no sense and becomes a little fucked up.

Also,my opinion is that no one should take things too seriously,or turn a picture thread into a sexual or a bashing episode.
As for the pictures themselves,I guess most of them were decent.At least the ones I posted were not meant to suggest anything but some good looking rockstars.Steve Perry,JSS and Al Pacino are famous men.Besides being talented as all Hell,they are also great looking celebrities and they have a huge female following.Yes,women look at the way they dress,move or at the shape of their arms.That doesn't make any of the women "loons" or deranged.Sure,there are some women who focus solely on the Southern parts,and that can be disturbing.

I have emailed with SusieP this morning.Although we have both participated in the picture thread with comments on Pacino and Perry,just like many other women did,we don't feel guilty of starting anything.For me (and a few others) it was a thing of sharing some pics and having a few good laughs.Not sure why everything turned into a drama,but I guess that's up to how everyone feels about things.

Both "factions" involved in the banter have their own valid points,so the best things is to let Andrew solve this issue as he sees fit.

I for one am done with sharing pics,or expressing my opinions about the looks of certain famous people.If comments about physical features are such a serious problem,so be it.I am perfectly happy talking about music,always been.

Look, I agree with AR to a point. But this is a forum for everyone and I ALONE need to moderate the topics One thread I thought was accetable for pictures. Dead animals and people were NOT, nor was the personal attacks. I took action.

I am also well aware that there was baiting going and sadly AR fell for this and the rest is history.

All I can say is - NO personal attacks and allow ME to deal with trouble makers/shit-stirrers.

Not saying anyone should be walking on eggshells - was an observation that last night I watched about thirty to thirty five people log on, hang for a few minutes, not post shit and then leave. It looked like everyone (with the exception of a few) were a little timid to say anything for fear of reprisal. That's not how it should be. Everyone should be able to come here and say what's on their minds within the confines of Andrew's rules. Know what I mean?
