With a Tear

What album was this song supposed to go on?

It's simply one of the most beautiful songs I've ever listened to. It jives, it rocks, it grooves, it bounces, it shuffles, it spins..... it does everything a good song is supposed to do. Every member of the band contributes great instrumental work....

This has been my "song of the moment" and I've blasted it probably 20 times in the past week. I really can't get enough.

DELICIOUS.

Raised On Radio...

Do you like Into Your Arms too? I wished they'd finished that track off and put it on the old Side Two.

Both great songs and I like them in the 1992 instrumental for that they are.

With A Tear is absolutely terrific.

"Into Your Arms" is very solid too.

I'm gonna lose my masculine Journey fan card by saying this, but ROR has been growing on me alot lately. I really enjoy the infectious grooves and funky vibe. I watched a little of the GH DVD yesterday and found myself going to the ROR clips.... they really need to release one of the ROR concerts someday.

If "Into Your Arms" and "With A Tear" were completed and placed on the album, it would've certainly became one of my Top 5 Journey albums.

If Steve Smith was on the album, it would've certainly became one of my Top 5 Journey albums.

Combine the two and I'd paint the walls white.

Many people fantasize about what the Freedom album would've been like. I'm one of them. Similarly, I fantasize about what an album or two, or three or four, between ROR and TBF would've been like. Oh baby yes.

Strungout, thanks for the link. I'll check it out here soon.... I LOVE this song.

Oh they were planning on it, until some singer with an attitude felt like he didn't want to for whatever reason. Asshole.

"With A Tear" is an amazing song,I agree.I love it so much.In fact,it is so inspired and well done,it doesn't even need a vocal line.
The song simply does the "talking" by itself.Really, there are some tunes that just don't need a voice on them at all.

Where does this come from?

Perry refused to finish these for the box set...But, how do you know why they were completed for ROR?
