This has been a crazy week in the news and today I read/heard this and thought how sad. Here is someone that seemingly has everything going for them, yet they mistreat their child. Its true he did this or the court wouldn't have suspended his visitation rights for now. Some people lost their children at VT this week and this guy has no clue what reality is apparently.

If his ex wife, Kim Basinger, has supposed "mental issues," gee, I wonder where they stem from? What a piece of work. That judge should kick his ass to the curb.

I am skeptical to say the least when things like this
come up, the past has shown this man has a temper

They only played the very last part on The Today Show this morning. I was like damn!! There is a court order now that he cannot see his daughter. They said there's a court date scheduled for next month that will decide custody.

Parts of that message sounded like threats. I hope she stays away from him. He definitely has a problem with his temper and there's no telling what he'd do.

Sadly, Alec Baldwin has been known to have an explosive temper even before this incident. He's a been a jerk of the highest order many times before.

I can bet you because of the bitter custody battle that he can only call his daughter at a designated time once or twice a week or something like that and the spoiled brat doesn't pick up the phone 7 or 8 straight times. I just hear frustration in his voice.

Speaking of crazy shit and crazy people, this happened across the street from my house, probably about 3 or 4 hundred feet away. The article is from the Chicago Sun Times.




April 19, 2007 - A manhunt continues Thursday night on the Far Southeast Side for three of four suspects believed to be involved in a fatal shooting of a teenager.

A two-door Nissan hatchback containing four males pulled up next to the victim, who was driving a Nissan Altima, at 130th Street and Baltimore Avenue and someone inside the hatchback fired shots into the victim's car about 3:35 p.m., according to police News Affairs Sgt. Eugene Mullins.
The injured teen was able to drive two blocks before crashing into several parked cars, Mullins said. He was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died, according to Mullins.

Sylvester Jackson, of 2501 Sheridan Dr. in Champaign, was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center at 4:50 p.m., according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. The spokesman said Jackson was 19 years old, but Mullins had him listed as 17 years old.

Police received a description of the offenders' car and put out a "flash" on it, Mullins said. Officers spotted the car in the 11000 block of Avenue O and pulled it over. The 17-year-old driver was arrested but his three passengers, ranging in age from 15 to 20 years old, "bailed from the car" on foot, he said.

A manhunt is under way in the Eggers Woods Forest Preserve area near Wolf Lake, according to News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli. Mullins said police are using helicopters and dogs to assist in their search for the three males.

The three males were not in custody as of 8:45 p.m. and a motive for the shooting remains under investigation, Mullins said.

Give me a break, there is never any reason an adult should threaten a child. I don't care if he's frustrated or exhausted or whatever, he's an older man that should know better. Being that he is a public person he of all people should know that things get out.
He's a wonderful actor, very funny on SNL and have enjoyed his talent, but he's an asshole.

I've read/heard that when they were going through the divorce- Kim was a total jerk with regards to the child custody issue. Like the only reason she kept him around was to be a "sperm donor", and had no intentions of letting him be a "Dad".
And while I don't condone his temper tantrum in any way/shape/form, one does have to remember that he comes from a very tight-knit family. He's probably extremely frustrated with the situation.

And as AR mentioned- she probably is large part of the reason that Ireland doesn't answer the phone. Her Mom probably has the poor child brain-washed to hate her own Dad!

Sad situation all around with that family!

There is no excuse to threaten or call your own child a little pig no matter how frustrated you are. If things are that ugly between Alex and Kim, he sure wasn't the brightest crayon in the box to leave a voice mail like that. It is really a shame when the child gets caught in the middle of the parents' ugly behavior!

I do agree he is an asshole, but for reasons other than this. I have heard parents say things so far worse to their children in department stores, restaurants, and many other public places. This also isn't a little toddler. She is almost a teen and I have absolutely seen "kids" that age do some very horrible "adult" things.

Alec Baldwin had estranged wife Kim Basinger charged with contempt of court Wednesday. Baldwin stated that she was defying court orders in the dreary custody battle over their 10-year-old daughter Ireland.

Baldwin claims that Basinger violated his visitation rights by not allowing him to speak with Ireland and has failed to let Alec know when she it out of town so he could keep his daughter at his house.

Basinger pleaded not guilty to the contempt of court charge. This case has been going on forever, I do wish they could work out their differences already. Baldwin & Basinger divorced in 2002 after nine years of marriage.

Apparently Bassinger has been trying to turn the girl against her father for quite some time. Yet some are already throwing Baldwin under the bus for a moment of frustration that should have been kept private. Damn if calling a borderline teen a little pig is a federal offense to some of you, I'd be executed for some of the things I say.

Listen gorgeous, it wasn't just the words it was the tone, the emphasis that struck me as super harsh. 11 years old is a little girl and she has probably been through hell with both parents tugging at her and brainwashing. I still don't agree with him leaving this sort of message, we have to exercise something called CONTROL. You and I will simply have to disagree on this one, my own dad went bizerko most of the time and I know how frightening and nerve racking threats can be. The bright side to all of this is that he now will have to act better towards her 'cause he knows she has a voice in the media. He needs some anger management no doubt about it, but then again don't we all? Any time we can improve ourselves is a step in the right direction.

so if the father is screaming at a child because of what the mother is doing, then I think it proves immaturity. I've heard Alec rant before, this is nothing new. You don't treat your kids like that. Period. No excuse. NONE.

I believe the truth is somewhere in the middle.Both Alec and Kim have been really nasty and their poor daughter was always in the middle of their fights.
Being only 12,she's still under the influence of her parents and I guess Kim's idea is to keep Ireland away from a verbally abusive father.
Maybe this wasn't the first time when Alec got in a rage and yelled at his kid,I just cannot believe this was a "premiere"...

However,Kim did wrong by not allowing Alec to have a normal relationship with his daughter,and he was definitely wrong to let out his anger like that on his own kid.
It's the adults that need to straighten out things between them and leave the kid out of that.

Growing up in such a tensed family environement will certainly leave marks on this young girl's behavior.
She's not guilty of anything,is the parents that are irresponsible.
