Winds of March / Higher Place clips - Newcastle 3/15/07

Postby AR » Wed Apr 25, 2007 8:39 am

Winds of March
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FUVKOA34

Higher Place
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y9X9FGIH

This was the only time either song was played on the European tour. The source cuts out a bit a times during both songs, so consider these clips rather than complete. However you will get an idea of how the songs came off with Jeff singing them. This was the 11th show they had played in 15 days - absolutely crazy!

Enjoy the rarities!

I like Higher Place. Soto does a great job on it. Much stronger than Augeri. Good work bro.

Winds of March, one of my faves. Took forever to download, but so worth it. Beautiful vocals and brilliant guitar. Have I mentioned lately that I love Journey? Now about VA.......

As of last Friday, light activity. We'll see. I know someone who can get a wheelchair ;). It's just a thought right now, but know if I can be there I will! Otherwise, I will simply live vicariously through you.

Oh gawd, don't do that....we will both be in a wheelchair then! In fact I think we ALL might need wheelchairs after this party is over! :P

Glad to hear you are doing so well! 8)

That is the way the source is. Nothing I can do about it. I was just happy to be able to hear those 2 tracks. I'm not holding out on you all. That is all that exists so far from the Newcastle show.

Like that HP is back.

Turn down Cain's keys and go back to the abrupt Arrival album ending and the song can be a live monster.

You're kidding.

And why not? Bass tone not right or something?

HELP!

Postby nutz4Neal » Thu Apr 26, 2007 12:03 am

I've never liked Highter Place either (thought it was just me  ); so I'm really anxious to hear Jeff's version but can't get it to play.

It downloads ok, the player shows up in the corner but then I get an error message...what am I doing wrong? Anyone?

LOL, I'm the opposite Sher and Bonnie. That one I do like. Higher Place and A Better Life are pretty much the only 2 songs post-Perry, pre-JSS that I put on my IPOD.

 You're Joking (with my best Sean Connery inflection)!
That song could be the next coming of Stairway To Heaven and loons would deny credit.

No, I like Better Together a great deal. I have it as the 4th or 5th best track on the record depending...

I'm also dismayed that somehow I led you to believe that I am a loon. :(
