Besides losing my JOB last Friday, here's what ELSE I have to deal with:

Copied from my "RANT!" MelRock Post:

WHAT the *(^%k is WRONG with people??

I swear to GOD!!

People bitch and complain that there is NO REAL MUSIC out there.....and yet, here I am, with MY BAND TRAG - all original music; rave reviews; "5 out of 5 stars!", interviews, etc.

Oh but WAIT, it gets BETTER:

They have the NERVE TO COMPLAIN TO ME, of all people, that there's nothing to DO - no REAL BANDS TO SEE....I tell them to come out and see us, and WHAT DO THEY SAY??!!

"Oh, that's too late....I have to get up early in the morning....it's TOO FAR!!"

AND PEOPLE IN THE LOVELY STATE OF CONNECTI$#!T won't open their FUCKING MINDS ONE IOTA to give us a job - because we're not a cover band that plays fucking "Freebird"!!

It's been my experience that cover bands do MUCH better than bands with only original music. People like to get drunk and sing along. That's the whole point of going to see a band. Unless you're unbelievable, and I'm not saying you're not, you have a very minimal chance of getting a regular crowd that will go from gig to gig. You almost HAVE to have covers...at least a few.

I know what you're saying Nora. I have a good friend that plays in a band. He had been after me for something like 3 years to come out and see them. I finally one night surprised him, and haven't missed a show since. They rock! Unlike your band, they are a cover band. Very good though. They have a lot of trouble getting booked because they play classic rock covers. Go figure.
