I just heard this for the first time yestersay. It was on the 1979 Journey SuperJam and Journey played a bunch of other songs . Then then played a demo of Fleishman singing Wheel, kindda hard to judge, because we know the song how it finished up. The singing style was totaly different. but it was cool to hear. !

Omigawd, Fleishman sang with the band after the HW star awards and forgot a lot of the words, Augeri had to join in and help him..it was funny but sad. Don't think I ever want to see or hear him again after that performance.

yes the radio show was taped in 1978, it aired in 1979. But the Flelisman thing was on tape from an earlier time. they talked about how Flieshman was the first singer and only lastest a couple of months and they then played WITS as a "rare demo tape". This was recoreded during the time he was with the band.

I have a video of early Journey in concert with Fleischman singing. It is old, black and white film, and it is interesting to hear him sing. I believe at one point, this video was up on Fleischman's site.

HOLY SHIT!!! I have been looking for this ever since Joel Selvin first broadcast this edited version of the Super Jam II performance a few years ago on his show CA radio based show "Selvin in the City". I could have listened to it but figured it would be the same old version that has been around for awhile so I opted against it, but the next day there was talk of this demo being included by Selvin himself for his broadcast. Man, I have been kicking myself hard ever since about that and never found anyone that had a copy and had basically given up hope. I can help you separate the tracks if no one else can!!! :D
