I have been locked into this site for awhile now after lurking for way, WAY longer.

Great people and a lot of fun. Thanks to Andrew for tolerating this shit. Deano for bringing me out of lurking here. Everyone else whether you think we get along or not. We do.

Yep this place rocks. We've got a great group of people here. Not all of us get along all the time, but that's just life. I'm not sure what Andrew's take on posting bootlegs here is. I have refrained from doing so purely on the belief that it wasn't ok. If it's ok, I'll do my part.

I think the board is a self indulgent playground for many. It's only when those indulgences clash that there is problems

I only lurked for a day or two perhaps and only ever posted when the whole tapegate think churned into high gear. I didn't think I'd stick around but there ya go...Lots of great folks here, good times, and good info on occasion.

I didn't say that it's what holds this place together. It obviously doesn't. It is what drew me here since this is the only place that had all the info at the time. I STAYED because of the people, not because of tapegate or any other controversy going on with the band.

I love this board.
When Tapegate was going on, this forum was like some kind of giant magnet drawing me in.

This forum enables me to learn stuff about the band which I didn't know & to hear and see clips which I would otherwise not know existed.
It allows me to get an idea of other people's lives and cultures - there are members from all over the world.

And most of all....it's fun.

As someone's signature says - you can check out, but you can never leave.



P.S. and reading the posts of certain people on here is like reading the column of a great journalist in your favourite magazine or newspaper.

I lurked here for a long while and finally decided to jump in after tapegate. Thanks in part to deano who I talked to on Myspace first and he told me to "get the fuck in there and start scrapping" So thanks dean. And even though it does get heated in here at times and I have yet to meet you guys in person, I like to think of you as friends because you can learn a lot about people by their words.
