HSAS remastered?

I figured I should finally get around to getting Through The Fire, since I've never heard it, so I thought I'd request it on lala.com, but since they don't differentiate between different releases of an album, I thought I'd ask if this album had ever been remastered or reissued since it's initial CD pressing, and thus if I should hold out and get an updated version on ebay or something. Thanks!

ok ,, lets just get this straight ,, heres what i understood about the HSAS album,, it was going to be a one off live show for MTV and an album,, but when sammy heard the vocals he decided to rerecord them for the album,, then neal decided to rerecord the guitars,, SO for the album,, the bass and drums are LIVE! .. is this so..?
btw.. missing you may be the best hard rock song of all time...

Amen... I told Sammy that the first time I met him in the early 90's... he loves that track too.
He said, "Great song... look you made the hair stand up on my arms..."

if i remember correctly, i think they went back to the studio to sweeten up some of the tracks; not necessarily re-recording vocals. i saw the warfield show back in '83. just brilliant. there's still another albums worth of songs that still haven't seen the light of day besides the MTV broadcast. think we should petition sammy to remaster and release the rest of the concert on cd and also remaster the show for dvd!

Couldn't agree more with you guys. That album is one of the best rock albums of all time without a doubt.I also have a copy of the tracks that didn't make the album and they are just as good.Would love to have a video copy of the concert.Does anyone know what Aaronson and Shrieve are up to.

It is to big time fans like us! I am not a collector, but it would be cool to have. All I have is a Frontiers LP signed by the entire band. Plus a Soul SirkUS CD signed by JSS.

Yep, point taken on that 'un.
Christ I see things that were new releases 4 years ago vaprorizing from the shelf.
Here's what you see for the most part anymore under an artist at a given store: The artist's best selling album, 1 or 2 GH albums, especially most recent compilation and that's about it.
Journey right now has pretty much every record back on the shelves thanks to the reissue project.
But good luck going to try to find The Stones' Steel Wheels now or Foreigner's Unusual Heat or some shit. Weak.

It's disgusting. It used to be fun to SHOP in record stores. Rummage around and "discover" little treasures or find cool stuff in the bargain bins.
Everything is internet now.
