She should have gotten the full 45 days...just think how lucky she was that she didn't kill anyone while drinking and driving.. she is where she belongs...she is a big nothing....no talent...and not so good looking either....definitely not a role model of any kind...

Absolutely. She deserves it. She didn't look to happy about what SS said though. LMAO!

Drunk driving is one of the worst things I think anyone could be guilty of and she's going to serve time in jail and in the media over and over and over...but to make a stand up routine about her in front of her and her peers on national t.v.= I think that's reaching pretty low, but being a celebrity I guess it comes with the territory and she probably expected it. I agree. Hilton is no role model, but Silverman showed no class by humiliating her publicly. Hilton messed up and now has to pay the price, but I dont agree that this is part of the cost. This culture is thriving on gossip and the belittlement of others. Is everyones self esteem so low that the only way to feel superior is to denegrate others? If people would spend even half the amount of time working on improving themselves as they do in ridiculing and talking about other people we would all be better off.

And there you go.

I think there are a lot more things going on in this country and world that need our attention more than Paris Hilton or any of her ilk. The public has made that girl a star simply because of the attention that's been given to her. We created the monsters that all of these celebrity nothings have become. We're the only ones who can stop it.

No attention = No celebrity. At least let the celebrity go to people who have talent and have paid their dues for it.

If it were any other celebrity (depending on the circumstance, of course), I would probably agree with you ohsherrie and steveforever, but in this case this was looooong overdue and she had it coming. Paris Hilton is so incredibly out of touch with reality, it's pathetic...actually pretty scary. I blame in large part, her damn parents (her mother's a nutjob). It's about time she be held accountable for her actions and is hugely deserving of this humiliation. It's time she was knocked down a large peg or two to shake some freakin' sense into her, don't know if that's possible at this point though.

However, I do agree that the public is definitely to blame for her so-called celebrity. The media shoves her and many other talentless idiots down our throat every time you turn on the t.v., open a magazine or read the paper, it's pretty hard to avoid.

She makes my blood boil  and I'm just loving every minute of this......

Paris will get no sympathy from me. She could've avoided this whole fiasco if she would STOP BREAKING THE DAMN LAW!!
Would've been nice to see her serve her original sentence, but seeing her do at least some time as a result of this is better than nothing, I guess.

I wouldn't wish jail on anyone, but I'm glad that she's being held accountable for her crime. She broke the law, and is required to pay the price, not in money, but in her freedom. Just Like Anyone Else. Plain & simple. Just people with high profiles, not super humans, not saints. They eat, get dressed, etc etc like anyone else, so... she f's up, she gets to be held accountable for her actions. Good for the judge. Wish it wasn't reduced, but still glad she didn't get out of it.

Phil Spector, I think, is going to be sharing some cell time with Scott Peterson.

Robyn,

I think either you misread my meaning, or I didn't say it right. I agree with you.

Paris should serve the whole sentence she was given and serve it among the general population of the jail. No special treatment at all. She did the crime like any other drunk driver and she should do the time the same way. I have no sympathy for her.

I was just saying she is only a celeb, and therefore getting special treatment, because the public has made her one. They would rather hear news about her BS than the truth about the reality of the world right now. I think making her a topic on the MTV awards just played into the madness. She shouldn't have even been there, let alone been a topic of interest. JMO :D

Gotcha :) Wholeheartedly agree.... It's a miracle she and the other airheads (Lindsay, Britney and Nicole) haven't killed someone on the highways of Los Angeles at this point. Recall that Nicole was caught driving in the opposite direction of traffic while high on God knows what. It's a serious issue for sure, but absolutely, we have so much more important topics going on in the world than their stupidity. Paris set herself up for complete humiliation by showing up at the show....

Yeah, they all need a severe reality check. I can't believe what they get away with simply because they're famous.

If I was Paris(thank God I've never been that worthless  ) I wouldn't have been able to show my face in public, let alone make a spectacle of myself at an awards show.

Exactly. The last news reports I heard were that she WASN'T going. I don't know what in the world changed her mind.

You are dead on about the reality check. I am not sure that 23 days in jail will do it. (Not that 45 would have, but I still would have liked to see her serve her entire sentence.)

ROFLMMFAO!!

No wonder we haven't heard from Perry lately.
Perhaps he fell in. God knows there's room!

I hope that grody skank rots in jail - yeah she only got 3 weeks but y'all know she is most certainly going to repeat her offenses. Lindsay Blowhan didn't learn her lessons the first how many times, so why would we assume this dumbass will? She'll do it again, hopefully no one but her will be hurt, and she'll be back in the klink.
