It probably could. Of course, that doesn't make it a good idea.
However, needless cussing vs. needful cussing is a whole different matter.

Needless cussing would be if I had said "Of course, that doesn't make it a good fucking idea." That's needless, and accounts for probably the smaller percentage of cursing that goes on around here.

Needful cussing, on the other hand, would be illustrated in the poll question itself - "No, what the fuck is wrong with you?" It's just not as expressive or strong an answer without it.

And if those reasons aren't good enough, there's the old fallback. "No cursing? What fun is that?"
