Not so sure if Journey's newest addition posts
here or lurks but you never know...

My message to you, if you do lurk here, is this:

Tell Jon and Neal to shove their offer straight up their
fucking asses sideways and twice on Sundays!

I'm sure you know the history here... Do you really want
to get involved with a band like this???
20 years ago, even 10 years ago, this would've been a Dream-gig for you.
But now, after this past year of craziness, how can you even
consider joining this circus knowing full-well that all you will ever be
to Jon and Neal is a hired hand and nothing more.

You would be fronting the Ultimate Journey Tribute Band
but what would you gain??? If you can sing like Perry,
and I bet you can, you're better off sticking with your own
thing where you still have some control over your life.

It ain't worth it, whoever you may be...

Amen. Also remember they are probably hiring you because they don't feel your known well enough to steal their thunder. You can provide an acceptable voice, as they stand in the limelight. Think outside the box, as tempting as it may be. Know one thing. Jeff is out because he had as much, if not more energy and talent than they. Look what it got him.

My advice? Don't quit your day job.

My advice: get urself a DAMN good lawyer to negotiate ur contract.

& don't stop looking behind u, beside u, in front of u. Stay tuned here for rumors. U might hear it here before u hear what is going on behind ur back. Any day now, u could go under the bus like ur predecessors. WITHOUT ANY WARNING. Get a provision in the contract to protect urself against that. Or, keep ur day job (if u have one) at least part time. Better yet, just take a leave of absence from ur day job (again if u have one).

Never mind the mannequin. Do like they did on AI with Elvis and use a 3D hologram of Perry singing so people think he is still with the band

If Neal walks towards the front of the stage, NEVER walk in front of him, and introduce him to the audience as much as possible. Also don't stand and block the audience view of Franga either. Tell the audience often how awesome they are, and that you are truly honored to be in their presence. You may make it a year or so anyway.

Jealousy rears it's ugly head once again.

Change is, fortunately or not, neccessary at times. Wish we knew more details of all the goings on and inside truths. Might change some minds. I attended a concert this year and I witnessed people's reactions when Deen sang; people reacted tremedously because, after all, it is what people except and want to hear; Journey! That unique sound. Supply the demand.

Journey is after all, about a sound as a group, which they have proven in the past "without" Steve Perry.
