I think the lyrics sum it up:

(Perry, Schon)
Albums: Evolution, Time³, Captured, The Journey Continues (2001)

See the stop light turnin' red
Don't you listen to what it said
All the things you try to hide
They keep you runnin' hard inside

Oh, you got to leave this town before it's
(Too late) Too late
(Too late) Too late
Too late to make the change

Ooh yes, my friend, you're fading fast
If you stay here you won't last
Before your time has run astray
You've got to try to get away

Oh, you got to leave this place before it's
(Too late) Too late
(Too late) Too late
Too late to make the change

Whoa, oh
Too late to make the change
It's too late, too late
Too late to make the change

Yes, it's time to make the change
Yes, it's time to rearrange
So my friend, now join the fight
For the things you know are right

Oh, you got to leave this town before it's
(Too late) Too late
(Too late) Too late
Too late to make the change
Too late, too late
Too late to make the change

Too late
Before it's too late

Deen is one of the positives about this band right now. If there is to be a continuing Journey, I really hope Deen stays.

I've got a better line for him from Def Leppard:

"Holdin' on to the sinkin' ship..when nothing else remains"

Dont get me wrong, I think Deen is a tremendous talent, a man of character, I just dont like seeing him with this pack of wolves. He is so much better than that.

I have to say out of all the baloney being spewed here lately, I have to agree with Catherine ... Deen needs to watch his back. He's never been one to rock the boat, but still, he needs to open his eyes and put on the bulletproof vest.

Let's get something straight RIGHT now. Deen's about as important to Journey as I am. There are literally 50 drummers who could step in tomorrow and learn the catalog in a few weeks. His greatest role in Journey is being a "Yes" man. Until I hear that he called Jeff or stood up to the two Judas's, he can expect more mortars being lobbed his way. I suspect he'll do neither.

Again, SJ, out of the chute, spot on.

Kevin Elson says change drums or drumhead companies, Deen is all "yes sir!" He wants to keep the gig.

I'm remembering a statement from Neal in an interview: He's a freak, but he's MY freak. He is a yes man and that works for Friga and Fro. Keep em under control, pile on the bullshit. First and foremost, hire only those who are hungry and willing to sign whatever is put in front of them for a chance to get a bigger paycheck. He's similar to Augeri in that one respect, but just as Augeri could have said no more of this bullshit under any circumstances, so could Deen. Contracts can be renegotiated and they can be broken. They also come up for renewal, which wouldn't require either breaking or renegotiating, just having the balls to quit and take the high road.
