Seems Jon Cain is making the decisions now....??

Does anyone think Neal actually agreed to JSS's firing? Did Deen and Ross have a say in this matter? Who felt more strongly about JSS not fitting the Journey mould? Jon, management or both and Neal just went along with it... :?

If Neal didn't want it like this I hope he steps away. It would be in his best interest now.

Jon never warmed to the idea...
Neal seems to make and break relationships with
people in the blink of an eye...

They both went in on this but Friga Definitely
wields more power than people think and
I've been saying that for a very long time...

I think it was both, rather than just one. Neal can't think on his own, and Friga makes bad decisions anymore, plus he's a total phony, even up to that no tear crying he did on BTM. If I'm crying, tears are coming out of my eyes. it just showed how fake he was/is.

Fuck them both.

Friga has always made the decisions in the band....at least since Perry left. Makes me wonder if this was the reason why Bad English broke up when they did?

Frack (Neal) is calling the shots here. Maybe a bit of Frick (Jon) is in this as well.

You really think Frack would walk away from Journey? Not on your life.

To me, it had to be the both of them agreeing on the decision. Not-so-great minds (assholes) think alike!

i think so. never mind the fact jonathan wasn't even the original keyboardist, and now he's the big powertrip...sending journey into a spiraling downfall.

i think neal's interest is the money, and he'll follow through if he thinks it's an opportunity...

Guys...really...

It's DONE.

Game over.

SP is the only real way to keep the band off of life support.

Time to "pull the plug" and move on.

I know it hurts.

Jetster, think Beavis and Butthead. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Put Neal and Jon both in a bag, shake it and turn it up. Which falls out first?

Hey Deano, I am confused like everyone else. Romantic Guy must be in a gay sanitorium somewhere,I am not far behind {not the gay section.} You were fucking right Deano.Sorry to question you but it seemed so far fetched, I couldnt beleive Journey could do this to Jeff. It doesent matter now right? Fuck it. You should take over Journeys management. You know what the hell is going on,and at least you are honest. I like Jeremey, and if Journey is going to a tribute to there own music, they might as well get the best. He can do the Job!!.im not sure about his writing skills ,but he sing can Journey better than anyone. From now on its about the music.I wont get anywhere near the bus. i dont want to meet them fuckers anymore. friga blows

I respect your opinion on this but, really...what's the point of a "tribute" band?

Journey reminds me of a boxer who just doesn't know "when to say when".

It really saddens and pisses me off to see this happening.

They couldn't pay me enough money. That organization reeks to high heaven. Complete joke.

I'll say it now.

Tom Consolo= Shitbag car salesman.

John Baruck= Piece of shit maggot.

Azoff= Corrupt aging grandpa who wears Depends.

All these choads can suck it.

You're having a laugh - when you go see the Eagles do you go to hear new material? when you go to see the Stones do you want to hear them having a crack at some grunge or indie rock? No, most folks want to hear classic rock which Journey is, simple fact. Another simple fact is that JSS was not an ideal fit. If he was he'd still be there - Don't get me wrong, I like his solo stuff but he was never the perfect fit in Journey bit like Dio in Sabbath is good but not quite right. The band have made a decision and will continue to be one of the best live bands in the business - 3 simple facts in the same post although one opinion based so maybe 2+1 but you get the point.

IMO, Cain and JSS didn't get along musically and personally. JSS' style is far from the melodic keyboard stuff that Cain brought to Journey. I don't think that Cain felt comfortable with his vocal style and stage presence as well he didn't felt good to play songs like Edge of the Blade, Chain Reaction, Dead or Alive, which are more suitable for Jeff, but the band needed someone to save their asses on the Def Leppard tour. So he had to swallow him. Right now, at the point to start to write and record new stuff, these differences came to the surface.
I think they have some kind of pressure...a record deal, a TV show, whatever...and this/these commitments are leading the band to the "Dirty dozen's safe place". If they won't do with Perry, they will do with a look-alike.

Jeff...I'm with you!!!

Sorry for this poor English!!!

Except Cain co-wrote those heavier tunes you mention - so I doubt he had a problem with them being played live.
