i just happen to come upon this forum by looking up a few things about journey on the internet.i have been a huge fan of theirs since i was seven years old in '82 when they were riding high on the charts with the escape album.of course thats my favorite lp by the band also.i also love infinity, evolution, departure, captured as well as the later stuff.i see they are having a controversy with the lead singer spot and i've read a few of the posts here and it seems like neal schon and jon cain aren't coming out looking too good for firing or dismissing the latest person who did the vocals.i'm looking forward to seeing what happens and hope the band somehow reunites with steve but i doubt that'll happen.steve is set and definitely doesn't need to if he doesn't want to.best of luck on the new journey.....

Welcome. Which Steve are u referring to? Journey has had 3 Steves: Smith on drums, Perry on vocals, Augeri on vocals.
As far as I am aware, none of them are coming back.

I'm not looking forward to anything Journey-related. However, I am looking forward to anything Steve Perry, Steve Augeri or Jeff Scott Soto does.

I'm going to assume he means Perry since it sounds like he hasn't seen them in any of their more recent forms......

i meant to say steve perry.my fav phase of the band is 78-83 era.i do like a few things from ROR,TBF,ETC.i haven't really kept up with much with the new singers but i've read that the past couple singers got screwed which is a shame and shows no integrity on the part of neal and jon but i really don't know the full story so i can't say much on that.my fav albums by them would prob be captured and escape.they were cooking pretty good on both of those and i think captured is a very underrated live album.i love kiss also but you hear much more about alive than you do captured but both are great in my book.my fav rollie album they did would probably be evolution.sweet and simple is my fav song on that one.too late is a good one also.those are the ones they need to play instead of the same 'ol same 'ol.it wuld be cool to hear a few obscure things thrown in to kep things fresh.

Welcome Mike. I hope you enjoy it here, and post often. We all want to hear your opinions, however, your posts are difficult to read. I would like to suggest using the space bar between sentences. I don't mean to sound insulting, but I think sometimes if people can't read what you're writing they will skip over your posts.

Have fun, and put on your seatbelt, it's gonna be a bumpy ride. 8)

Hello Mike- You are just in time for another Journey implosion. This is a big one and the band doesn't even know it till next year because they are MIA until the smoke drifts, so they think. This is not going away for awhile. The debris from the Perry deal will never fade.
