Im just a casual Journey fan, but I did see them open for Def Leppard last year. They were OK, but it wasnt the same with a new singer.

Im sure this questions has been asked a million times, but I dont follow Journey news, so please understand!

Why wont Steve Perry rejoin the band?

Does the band hate him for some reason? Is it because he left the band so many years ago?

Or does he have something against Journey?

Who is standing in the way of this reunion? Id pay to see them again, but only if Steve Perry was the singer.

Steve Perry is standing in the way
His voice could not handle a tour at least in his mind
He has really only performed about 35 times in 21 years.
He does not have the confidence anymore to sing live.
So this is really not just Neal and Jons fault this is also Perry's
I think if he just used his voice and sang live even if it was in front of nobody after time he would get it back
Listen to his speaking voice its very hoarse sounding his voice may be shot after all the years of singing,

I think he could do a new cd but would hide from a tour
I think they should get a road singer to sing and he should write and record a new JRNY cd
Kevin Chalfant would be the perfect singer for the road

Only problem he would have to fess up to not being able to sing live
Dont see that happening.
