For the record he does not wear the wig, tails and SP animal shirt (any longer) shown in the one linked page you have there.

Current more accurate impression would be here.

Obvious typo on my part I forgot to add "any longer" in my original post. He does not currently and has not worn the "garb" in a long time. I guess 2003 time frame.

No disrespect to my friends here, but goon youtube, listen to Frontiers do a song and then listen to Journey do the same song. Soto is so much more powerful.

Don't sign anything Jeremey.

No offense to Jeremey but I'm glad he has the shorter hair now. The long hair and Perry garb didn't do him justice.

Jeff and Jeremey are both great singers. You and me both know that. No issues. I just wanted to add more details so the "folks" can see a more current impression of Jeremey.

I don't agree. D I think Jeremy's band ain't that great, but his voice has the Perry sound and Jss sounds like a more soulful, lower voiced guy. He wasn't right for "the journey sound". Doesn't mean he couldn't have taken them to a new place which people were ready for. It means that on the "dirty dozen" he doesn't sound like the recordiings.

Oh, and Don't sign anything Jeremy!

;)
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Listen to "Rolling Away The Stone." It's in the very first post of this thread under the title "Jeremey singing his own songs." The song is simply awesome. Granted it needs a better job production wise, but vocally it is incredible.

No Offense to Jeremy but why don't they bend over give their asses a good kiss and then go and ask Perry to come back. I mean really why take a Perry impersonator over the real thing....But what the heck it is obvious by what they did to Jeff that their chicken shits to afraid to make a real change.....For me I'll stick with Jeff's music from now on.

Mercury was more powerful than Perry, that doesn't necessarily mean he was better, does it?

Yep, that is exactly what I'm telling you. I think they both have power for sure. Jeff more down low and Jeremey up higher. But, in my opinion, Jeremey is more powerful over all. If I was putting together a metal band JSS would my first choice. If I was putting together an AOR/melodic band, it would be Hugo, Chalfant or Jeremey. Its just a different vibe dude.

A question FOR Jeremey

Postby jrnyman28 » Sat Jun 16, 2007 4:36 pm

Jeremey, with all the talk off you singing with Journey, and you acknowledging that you will be meeting the guys, I am reminded of a time when you said you would not want "that" gig....has that changed?

I agree, I don't think cocksmoker Freddie was any more powerful than Perry.

If you're basing your opinion of Hugo on some of the Evolution clips, don't. Have a listen to his own material. If you've listened to his own material then fair enough.

Uhhh...and you would be wrong about that.

Mercury was a GREAT showman and excellent vocalist (better vocally in the studio than on stage)...but, Perry was ridiculously talented and had an AMAZING range and power both in the studio and on stage.

NOBODY has ever recreated their studio voice "live" better than SP.

That's a fact.
